"Ugghhh." Anne groaned as she tipped her head back in annoyance, she just couldn't get it right. She dipped the makeup brush back in the pot of white face paint and tried again to cover up the streaky areas.

Glaring at herself in the mirror she decided that no one would notice from a distance as she grabbed her red lipstick and applied it, she even when a bit extra and drew a small red heart just beneath her left eye. She grinned at how she looked so far, her face paint/makeup was done and Marilla had kindly offered to do her hair earlier. Anne's hair was now put up into two ponytails that stuck out of the side of her hair, she had curled it and placed on a black hairband that flagged up the pattern of a jesters hat.

Now she just had to manage the costume, she slid on the short dress, it was a tight sleeveless top that had rounded breastplates, it was split in half: one side was checkered black and white and the other was plain white. The dress then went into a skirt like bottom that poofed out and was made up of layers of white over one thick layer of black, ruffles decorated the lining. Anne also wore a collar of the same checkered and white pattern, and she also paired two arm sleeves that reached from her wrist to her elbow in the same pattern.
Anne also pulled on two socks, one white with the jesters pattern at the top and one black, but she kept them bunched at her ankles as she pulled on her small black heels.

Anne dusted off her outfit as she assessed herself in the mirror, she felt like she was missing something but couldn't place what.
oh a MASK, she ran over to her draw and pulled out the black lacy mask as she placed it delicately over her upper face. She smiled triumphantly at her reflection, she looked great. Now she just had to get it past Marilla.

She walked over and grabbed her long thick black coat from the hook and wrapped it around herself, covering her bare legs and shoulders. Then she proceeded to head downstairs to say goodbye, Diana would be here soon.

When Anne heard the beep of Diana's car she practically leapt from her spot on the couch opposite Marilla and Matthew. "Gotta go, bye!" She ran out before they could ask any more questions.

Anne had only been sat downstairs for five minutes yet Marilla had been throwing about a thousand questions at her, she was especially suspicious when anne said she was dressing up as a clown who was a detective who wore a big coat. She admits it wasn't her best lie ever but she was anxious about the party. Thankfully Marilla let her go freely.

Anne ran down the driveway and hopped into the passengers seat of Diana's car. Diana's brow rose in confusion at what Anne was wearing. Anne noticed the confusion and proceeded to remove the coat and pulled up her socks to reveal thigh high stockings.

"You look so good tonight Anne!" Diana grinned as she started the engine and drove off.

"Well you look amazing dearest Diana!" Anne smiled as she looked at Diana's outfit. She was wearing a tight red off the shoulders dress, with glittering red chunky heels and a devil headband.

Soon they arrive and it was chaos. The music was blaring loudly and the sound of cheering erupted from the house every few minutes. Anne could see numerous people wandering in, not that she was looking for any particular person. They both hopped out the car and joined the crowds of people inside the Andrews mansion.

Inside the smell of alcohol was pungent. Anne could barely breathe without smelling sweat from all the teenagers dancing. Smoke filled the air in one of the bathrooms as Anne saw a group of teens holding their blunts. She winced and scuttled past the doorway, following after Diana who was looking for the rest of the gang.

Anne would be surprised she didn't get a headache after tonight considering the trashy music that was blasting. Anne followed Diana into the kitchen where Jane, Josie, Tilly and Ruby where hanging. Diana ran to them and immediately started gossip as Anne opened the cupboard and poured herself three shots.
