Getting Nina in and out of the car was absolutely hectic

Getting Nina in and out of the car was absolutely hectic. She kept giggling, running her fingers through my hair and being extremely touchy. I could sense the Uber driver was incredibly annoyed by Nina's voice level, glaring at us both through the mirrored rear view mirror every minute or so. I didn't mind her, even without being in a relationship, I still felt a strong urge to take care of her and protect her. Seeing her like this reminded me of all the nights we'd spent together doing this ourselves, years ago before Lennon, we'd had a moment in our lives where we went out together like this, I wouldn't drink at all, or as much as her because I wanted to get her home at the end of the night. I'm glad Ruby called.

Eventually, 10 minutes away into our car ride Nina had fallen asleep right onto my shoulder much like she had before the Uber had picked us up.

Her hand was currently still clamped onto mine and the heating inside of the vehicle didn't do much justice to her cold body.

She was always cold.

Which just meant I could hold her and give her extra warmth whenever she needed it.

"We're here." The driver mumbled.

Thanking him, I turn to Nina gently shaking her to wake her but she doesn't budge one bit.

"Nina...." I whisper shaking her again. She flutters her eyes open, looking dazed and confused for a moment before her gaze finally land on me. "Hey, how about we get out of this car and inside, yeah?"

She groans in response and sleepily stumbles out of the car after me. I'm quick to catch her by her waist before she trips on the curb and I thank the driver once again before shutting the door.

"This way." I say softly to Nina, who's trying her best to keep her eyes open.

I hold onto Nina's body with an arm wrapped around her and ensuring that she doesn't fall forward. Once we reach the front door, I'm quick to look for my keys before unlocking it

After I manage to finally get it open, Nina goes in first looking around the place in wonder. Her eyes now looking wide and alarmed at the sight.

"So like- you live here now?" She slurs taking a hold of a gold vase by the door as if it were the lightest thing ever.

I immediately walk over to her, taking the vase from her hands and gently placing it back down it it's spot before she can drop it. "Yes. I live here." I respond with a chuckle.

It's just hit me that Nina has never been over. She'd seen it on the outside maybe once or twice but she's never dropped Lennon off herself all the way inside, it was usually always me picking her up and bringing her back or even Genesis doing it for her.

"It's pretty..." Nina says to me.

"Thank you. I decorated it myself. " I smile with a proud look on my face.
