"You're lucky you get to have 2 weeks off for Christmas before you even start working." Stella says, placing a coffee cup to my desk.

I hadn't really been doing much yet at my new job this week.

For the past few days I've been trying to move everything that I could possibly need into my new office.

My office. Still couldn't believe that.

"Thank you." I smile, taking the warm cup into my hand. "Do you not have Christmas and New Years off?"

Stella sighs, shaking her head slightly. "I do but I've got a ton of work to get done overtime and I already know how stressed out I'm going to be."

I felt that. Sort of.

I never got vacation days even when I'd ask for them back at my old job. But I'd probably be working twice as hard knowing that I had a lot of time on my hands. Speaking of, I was still nervous about this job. I'm hoping it'll be a lot different.

"So, what will you be doing for Christmas?" Stella asks, taking a sip from her own hot drink. "Any plans?"

Shit. Christmas?? I'd completely forgotten that was so soon.

Every year, Harry and I flew to London to visit his sister Gemma and his mom. It's one of the only times of the year he'd see his family.

We had broken up right after Christmas and things were extremely tense in his old childhood home before everything went down. It was clear to Gemma and Anne that Harry and I weren't on the best of terms. We rarely talked to each other the entire trip there.

"Honestly, I have no clue." I admit. "Usually Harry and I travel with my daughter to London and meet up with his family. I haven't asked him about Christmas yet but I should considering it's next week."

"It is really soon." Stella nods. "Zach and I usually try to make it really special for Mick. He spoils the kid with gifts, it's amazing." She laughs.

"He must be so good to him." I say honestly. "But I'm sure Mick isn't the only one being spoiled either." I tease.

Stella's cheeks go pink as she tucks a piece of dark hair behind her ear. "Maybe, just a bit. He goes a little over the top sometimes with my gifts. It's hard to get him something as good."

"How so?"

"He got me a car last year." She blurts out almost immediately making my eyes widen.

"Holy crap. A car?" I say with a chuckle. "Why didn't you marry him sooner, Jesus Christ."

"Commitment issues." She shrugs like it's no big deal.
