*recap*

Harry and Nina celebrate New Years. On their way out of the club, they've caught Ruby and Casey making out. They agree to meet up the day after.

A day later, Ruby, Casey, Harry and Nina all gather to speak for answers. They then find out that Casey and Ruby "hated each other" only because Casey ghosted Ruby after a party in their college days. Still not completely understanding the entire situation, Harry decides it'd probably be best to split up and he stays behind with Casey while Nina and Ruby are in the other room.

While talking, Harry tells Casey that he's slightly upset about the fact that she wasn't able to be honest about her and Ruby. Casey begins to tell the story of how Ruby and her began to grow closer after her breakup with Finley. After a long conversation, Harry lets her know that if she's happy with Ruby, then he's happy.

All meanwhile, Lenny is chilling in her room.

Now, to our current setting. Ruby and Nina.

"Bitch, what the fuck is wrong with you?" I shout

"Bitch, what the fuck is wrong with you?" I shout. "How long were you two going to hide this from us?"

Ruby throws her head back and groans. For the past 5 minutes we'd been shouting at each other over this. The look on her face is more or so guilt than anything. It wasn't usual for me to see her like this. Ruby was a pretty serious person. It was almost always hard to figure out any kind of emotion when it came to her.

"We were waiting for the right time." Ruby defends with a defensive shrug. "I swear, we were going to tell you both after your trip. You have enough going on in your life and everything was starting to come together for you- I didn't want to make matters worse."

I'm not going to lie, I feel extremely hurt that my best friend had felt the need to hide this from me. I hadn't known about Ruby and Casey meeting before and I'm not sure why she kept that from my either. It's still difficult to completely understand the entire situation after our talk back there.

"Ruby, you wouldn't have." I shake my head. "You're my best friend. This is just surprising to both Harry and I. When your friends act like they want to cut each others heads off every time they see each other and then you run into them practically sucking on each others faces. It can be a bit overwhelming. A warning could have been appreciated, at least."

"I'm sorry." She groans. "I promise, my intention wasn't to hurt you. I trust you. This is just something Casey and I had to prepare for before we'd let you both know. This is a lot harder for her than it is for me. She's actually dealt with shit in the past that has made her afraid."

"I know your intentions weren't bad. I just don't want you to ever feel like you can't trust me." I respond.

"I do." Ruby says, clearly frustrated. Her black short hair is looking a bit rough and she looks extremely tired. It's clear she's still recovering from last night- something in which we all were. Hangovers really were the worst.
