34: Really Romantic

"Mary what are you talking about?" Jennifer asked in a confused state.

"Check out celebritybuzz blog. Their most recent article is about you and Kola. The both of you are currently trending online. Hope you're doing fine? You drank too much yesterday night."

"I'm fine Mary. I would call you back later. Let me do what you just said."

"Okay bye."

"Bye." Jennifer ended the call.

"What is wrong? What did Mary tell you?" Kola spoke in concern to Jennifer who was already typing away on her phone.

"She said something about a blog. I'm trying to search for it now," Jennifer replied, not removing her eyes from her phone. She noticed Kola walking closer to where she was standing.

"Oh my Goodness!" Jennifer gasped as she finally saw the article Mary was talking about.

"What is it?" Kola asked and went ahead to take the phone from her. He studied the article before him. It was titled; This Proves They Are In A Relationship. The article had a picture of when him and Jennifer were dancing together. His lips were on her neck and his hands holding on to her hips. They were so close together that there was hardly any space between their bodies.

"Kola I'm very sorry about this. It's all my fault. I was the one who asked you to dance. I didn't think that people would see it and misinterpret," Jennifer said and Kola just stood silent.

"You know what? Let me call someone who can help me talk to the owner of the blog," Jennifer said and seized her phone back from Kola.

"I think the picture is really romantic Jennifer. Just look at how lovely we look together," Kola said and Jennifer immediately diverted her eyes from her phone and looked at him, not sure if she heard right.

"A false news is going around about you and that's all you have to say?" Jennifer asked in disbelief.

"It wouldn't be false news anymore if you say yes to my proposal." Kola brought Jennifer to himself, locking their bodies together.

"W-What are you saying Kola?" Jennifer stuttered.

"I'm asking you to be my girlfriend Jennifer," Kola said, looking straight into her eyes.

"Are you saying this because of the article? You don't have to compel yourself into doing that Kola," Jennifer said and Kola let out a chuckle.

"No Jennifer. It's not because of the article. I wanted to ask you this before Mary's call came  in. Jennifer I know that you've been through a lot lately but then I want to be the one to help you move on from your pains. I want to shower you with all the love and attention that you deserve Jennifer. Please give me a chance. Let's be each others strength. Will you be my girlfriend Jennifer?"

"Do you mean it Kola?" Jennifer asked, almost in tears.

"I do Jennifer. You're as precious as a gem to me Jennifer, and just like a precious gem, I don't want to ever lose you," Kola's eyes twinkled with so much passion as he spoke, totally melting Jennifer's heart.

"Yes Kola. I accept," Jennifer replied and slammed her lips against Kola's. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed her body onto his as they continued with their kiss. He slowly moved her to the wall and ran his hands over her body as he kept on kissing her fiercely.

Jennifer broke the kiss, panting and trying to settle her breathing.

"You're more than amazing Kola. You're God sent. You've infiltrated my heart with your care and love when I needed it the most," Jennifer said and rested her head on Kola's shoulder.

"I can't believe this is happening Jennifer. I've waited so long for this day, when I can ask you out. It's a dream come true that you accepted," Kola confessed and placed a peck on her cheek and in that same instance, Jennifer's stomach growled.

"You've not eaten yet?" Kola lifted up her chin and asked her.

"Yes. I need to eat and take a painkiller too because my head is aching badly."

"I'm really sorry about that Jennifer. You should rest a little while I get you something to eat. I can make noodles for you," Kola suggested to Jennifer and made her to seat on the sofa.

"Thanks Kola. You're a sweetheart," Jennifer replied and smiled her very charming smile which brought so much joy to Kola.

"I can't watch my girlfriend go hungry and sick can I?" Kola said and Jennifer laughed at it.

"Let me go now Jenny. It's not going to take much time and considering the fact that I'm such a good cook, you should be expecting it to be mind-blowing," Kola said in a hurry and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Kola," Jennifer called out, making him to turn back and look at her.

"Thank you for not taking advantage of my drunken state last night. Not many guys would do that and I'm really happy that you could have so much control over yourself."

"You can't even imagine Jennifer. It took all the willpower in me not to just go along with how desperate you wanted us to make love at that state but then, my mom did a beautiful job in bringing me up," Kola smiled as he said that.

"I'm sure she did."

"Let me go now Jennifer. You need to eat and take your drugs," Kola said and was surprised when he saw Jennifer stand up.

"Why are you up Jennifer? Go and sit down and rest." 

"It's just a mere headache Kola. I want to help you out in the kitchen and besides, you know you need it. It's not like you've been in my kitchen before. I don't want you burning it down for me," Jennifer said. She was standing next to Kola.

"You're underestimating how professional I could be in the kitchen Jennifer," Kola murmured  behind her as she led the way to her kitchen.

"You will never stop praising yourself," Jennifer threw her hands up as she said that. She was taken aback when Kola gripped her by her waist and spun her around. The next thing she felt was his lips on hers as he kissed her shortly.

"This is not so professional after all," Jennifer said after their kiss and they both laughed at it.

With the assistance of Jennifer, Kola went ahead to prepare noodles for the both of them and they ate together afterwards.
