"Kola we need to go in now." Jennifer protested but it came out as a moan instead. She was in Kola's car with him and his lips were all over her neck, nibbling and kissing it.
Kola's lips moved away from Jennifer's neck to her cleavage that the strapless pink dress she was wearing had exposed and she immediately felt a hitch in her breathing.
"Kola stop," her voice came out firmer this time around.
"I want to spend the time with you here," Kola murmured.
"In case you forgot, this is my best friend's wedding reception and I'm not missing it."
Five months passed so quickly and Mary's wedding was that day. They had just finished the main wedding ceremony which held at a Catholic church and were now at the event center where the reception was to be held.
"Alright, alright. Let's go babe." Kola placed a kiss on Jennifer's lips before they left the car. They walked past the large photo of Mary and Kayode that was displayed just outside the event center. Kola's arm was wrapped possessively around Jennifer's waist as they walked inside together.
It was not a surprise to them when they noticed that most of the camera operators in the hall suddenly switched their attention to them the moment they stepped inside. Over the past months, they've gotten so much popularity after they publicly confirmed the rumour of their relationship.
Jennifer took in how beautifully decorated the hall was. There were different varieties of colorful artificial flowers hanging around the walls and on the tables. The chairs were covered in white plain materials. A large golden ball that sparkled stood suspended on the ceiling just around the area where the dance floor was.
Jennifer's eyes finally landed on the front of the stage where Mary and Kayode sat on a decorated white sofa. She could see Mary beaming with smiles the moment the both of them locked eyes so she smiled back at Mary, truly happy that her best friend was marrying the man of her dreams.
A young lady in a white long sleeve shirt and a black skirt walked over to her and Kola and ushered the both of them to their table. Kola only removed his arm from Jennifer's waist when he pulled out a chair for her to sit. After that he brought his own chair really close to hers.
"We came just in the right time." Kola's eyes were lit up in happiness. It was time for the couples to dance along with the guests.
Jennifer scrunched up her nose. "I was thinking I could rest my legs a bit before we get to that part."
"Oh come on. Let's go and join them already." Kola gently pulled Jennifer up from her seat. The both of them walked hand in hand towards the dance floor where other couples were. They took a spot a little bit close to Mary and Kayode who were at the very middle of the dance floor.
Kola took Jennifer's hand and twirled her around twice before bringing her to his embrace. Their hands now intertwined, they moved their bodies slowly to the music that was playing in the background.
Kola's eyes stared deeply into Jennifer's as they danced. "How come you always look so pretty?"
"Genes I guess." Jennifer chuckled.
"I can only imagine how beautiful our kids would be. I mean look at you. You're looking like a goddess right and then I'm not so bad looking so I'm guessing our kids would be damn pretty."
"You're trying to be modest right now. You're damn handsome and you know it." Jennifer replied.
Kola twirled her around again and brought her back to his chest. "You think I'm handsome?"
"I don't think. I know. I've always known." Jennifer replied.
Kola trailed her cheek with a finger and kissed her on the cheek, making her to instantly blush.
