With the suffocating tension between the two, Xueer was so entranced in those hazy black yet crystal clear mysterious eyes. Her hands unconsciously reached to Jiaqi's glasses while the taller was too occupied from keeping her wild side in. In that split second when Xueer's finger tips grazed the edge of her bulky and huge glasses, Jiaqi snapped back and hurriedly grabbed her hand before pinning her against the sink, hard.

If anything, there was probably a bruise already forming at the back of Xueer as a hoarse groan escaped the red headed's lips. Hearing her in pain and realising what she had just done, Jiaqi stepped back hastily and worriedly questioned, "Are you alright? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be that rough." Xueer smiled through the stinging pain in her back and nodded stiffly, "It's fine...it's probably just a tiny bruise."

Silence soon overcame them and the winces of Xueer could only be heard. Jiaqi mentally cursed at herself as she contemplated whether she should check her back or just leave right now since she was done changing.

Remaining silent, she sighed softly and slowly approached the red headed. Xueer looked at her with a confused gaze while Jiaqi just cleared her throat, "Do you mind if I pull your shirt up a bit?" It got her a bit taken a back at first but she then agreed with an obvious blush plastered on her cheeks.

With trembling hands, Jiaqi nervously reached to the hem of her shirt and pulled it up, revealing her silk like skin inch by inch. Her breath was staggered as she slowly lifted it fully till her bra strap. "How is it? It's not that bad right? See I'm fine." Xueer turned back and smiled reassuringly as Jiaqi gulped.

Opposite of what Xueer said, there was a huge red patch on her back that was turning blacker and bluer by the minute. Glancing at the redheaded, Jiaqi hesitated on what to do next as guilt took over her in that instant. "I think it's better that you get it treated. It's a really huge bruise." Her voice softened so as her cold like gaze.

Xueer shook her head and stepped away, her eyes looking right at Jiaqi through the mirror. "It's just a bruise. It'll disappear in a few days...Let's get going now, we wouldn't want to be late for classes would we?" Jiaqi sighed and obediently followed the redheaded out of the toilet before heading to their classroom together as a comfortable silence took over them. The first ever comfortable one.

As the two entered, everyone immediately shifted their attention to them, the classroom filled with murmurs. In that moment, Xueer completely ignored Jiaqi and walked straight to her seat, not even glancing at the girl as if nothing had just happened.

Though the taller knew that their relationship was clearly only project partners and nothing more, she wanted to be friends with the redheaded. However knowing they will never be anything more than project partners, Jiaqi had already gave that idea up a long time ago, and Xueer ignoring her in front of others just proved her point.

Halfway through the boring lesson and students non stop chattering about the whole Jiaqi, Xueer, Yuxin and 'the new girl' commotion that happened this morning, a certain green haired stepped into the class.

"Sorry I'm late...I got lost trying to find this classroom." Her raspy low voice catching everyone's attention including a confused Jiaqi. "Ahh, Miss Yuyan, you're finally here. It's alright, you can be late on you first day just remember not to repeat this again." The girl was about to speak when Ms Shin signalled her to introduce herself.

Yuyan mentally rolled her eyes and turned to the students, her eyes darted between everyone and finally landing on her bestfriend, "I'm Yuyan." Everyone was surprised by her blunt and short introduction except Jiaqi who was trying so hard to suppress her laughter.

Remaining unbothered, Yuyan then headed straight to Jiaqi and pulled the seat next to her. With her blank expression immediately blooming into a boxy grin she teasingly ruffled the older's hair, "So how did it go with that human just now?"

While the two were conversing ever so happily, they were completely clueless about a pair of darkened eyes glancing at them ever so often throughout the lesson. Although...Xueer found Yuyan's name extremely familiar, as if she heard it in her dreams before.

With Yuyan besides Jiaqi, no one was even daring to make mean comments about her, afraid of the green haired girl. Xueer felt much secured that now Jiaqi wouldn't get bullied, but her heart had tugs of discomfort seeing the new girl and Jiaqi being that close.

She shook it off thinking that she was just weirded out that Jiaqi had friends in the first place even when deep down she truly knew it was another reason. Suddenly a she felt a sharp piercing pain in her back as her friend's voice loudly rang in her ears, "Hey Xueer! What's up with you and-" But of course Shuxin was interrupted with the red headed's loud groan.

"Did you hurt your back?" Shuxin raised a concerned brow while lifting up her shirt before quickly peeking at her back before any students could see it. "What do you think you're doing mam?" Xueer hissed playfully and slapped her hands away.

Wriggling her eyebrows in a teasing way, Shuxin whispered to her, "Getting freaky with Yuxin hmm? And here I thought y'all were on bad terms because of this morning's situation." As Xueer rolled her eyes, Xiaotang came running into the classroom and panting, "Shuxin have you seen the new girl named Yuyan or something?"

She shook her head and was about to ask when Xueer interrupted, "You just ran past her. She's sitting next to Jiaqi." Gulping down her water, Xiaotang immediately turned around and wiped her sweat before heading over while the two redheaded watched in curiosity as to why she wanted to find the new girl.

"Sorry to interrupt but are you Yuyan?" Cooly asking the expressionless girl, Xiaotang completely ignored Jiaqi like she was invisible. Yuyan nodded her head and raised a brow, "I suppose you're here to recruit me for..." She had a handful of students from different clubs going after her she wasn't even fazed at this point.

"For basketball. Your records in your previous school are astounding. With you in our team there's no way for us to lose this year's competition." Passing her the form, Yuyan read through the criteria and nodded, "Ok, I'll join." Yuyan loved basketball the most and without a doubt would call in.

A huge grin appeared on her face as she was going to speak when Yuyan smiled back, "But I'll have my friend here join too." Jiaqi's eyes widened and tilted her head in confusion at the green haired girl, wondering what she was planning then. Though hesitation flashed through Xiaotang's face for a second, she ended up agreeing with a hint of reluctance.

"Why did you say that?" Jiaqi flicked her forehead and glared at the girl while she smiled teasingly, "We both know that you're even better than me at basketball, so why not? Besides, it has been you favorite sport and it still is."

Jiaqi sighed exaggeratedly and buried her face into her palms, "Yuyan, the point is for me to not attract attention in a good way. That was why I even allowed myself to be bullied."

Scrunching her nose, Yuyan shook her head disapprovingly, "Jiaqi, just be yourself except that part. No one will suspect anything if you don't show signs of you being a..." she then switched to telepathic mode, 'vampire.' Jiaqi however had a different mindset and remained stubborn. Meanwhile the trio were heading to the cafeteria with the two redheaded bombarding Xiaotang with questions.

Secretly, Xueer was cheering for Jiaqi, she just hoped that Jiaqi knew what she was getting herself into.
