Forbidden Love [Jiaqi x Xueer]

Blocking each swing of Yuxin's arms, Jiaqi started feeling an immense level of pressure rising in her. In Yuxin's hands held a syringe with a huge amount of blue liquid. And the blonde had been trying to stab her with that. Landing a punch right in Yuxin's stomach, she was sent flying to the wall as blood trickled down her chapped lips.

Jiaqi then tried using the time for Yuxin to regain her composure and rushed to Xueer. Banging against the plastic box, she tried breaking it with all her strength but to no avail, failing. After all the punches she threw at it, it only cracked a little. Of course it was reinforced.

Too occupied with getting Xueer out, Yuxin had managed to shoot her shot right at Jiaqi. Fortunately, she had managed to dodge it with ease though her thigh was beginning to hurt even more. 5 soldiers came charging at her with syringes in their hands, but got wiped out by Jiaqi instantly.

However because of this distraction, Yuxin managed to have the tip of the syringe slightly grazing her arm, merely scratching her fair skin. Biting down on her cheeks, Jiaqi held in the pain in her thighs and arm before snatching the syringe away from her and discarding it.

She then pushed Yuxin all the way into a wall which had cracked due to the impact. With gritted teeth, the vampire hissed venomously, "What's your problem Liu Yuxin? Let go of Xueer. Don't you love her?"

The blonde seemed like she was going to laugh but instead she cluelessly asked the fuming Jiaqi, "How do you know my name?"

That triggered the short haired girl even more as she spat violently in the other's face, "Don't act ignorant. I know it's you who had been plotting this whole thing against us."

Yuxin let out a mysterious yet clear laugh as if the answers were laid obviously in front of her, "Glad you know Ms Jiaqi. You're not as stupid as I thought."

Raising her arm, she laid a hit right at Yuxin's guts, "Cut the bullshit and release Xueer right now. She's not a vampire so why are you even doing this?"

Yuxin then flashed a unsettling smirk before wickedly and sarcastically cooed while coughing droplets of blood, "Aww, that's too bad. Unfortunately, she's going to be used as our target."

In a quick move, she then whipped out a gun which the bats had missed out and pointed it right at Jiaqi's head. Even in that moment, Jiaqi felt no fear for her life. Her scarlet red eyes stared into her enemy's while the other smiled creepily, "Lucky for you, I can't kill you as the government ordered not to."

She then lifted the cold tip of the gun off Jiaqi's forehead before pointing it behind the paralyzed latter. Slowly turning around, Jiaqi clenched her fists and jaw tighter than ever. Xueer had a cloth in her mouth while 2 soldiers held her up and 20 or so other soldiers circling the redheaded with their guns aimed at her head.

Jiaqi knew that even with her super speed, there was no way she could get her out of there before any of those bullets land on Xueer, instantly killing her. She then looked back at Yuxin who was smirking victoriously.

"So? What's it going to be? Lose the love of your life or surrender along with your other 3 vampire friends?"

Her world felt like it was crashing onto her in that moment, collapsing and falling, creating a hole in the universe that was sucking the energy and hope out of Jiaqi as every second passes. She had her head hung low in grief and burden. Two choices with different endings.

She couldn't choose.

Though she couldn't choose, after what seemed like a whole hour, her heart finally did. Sniffing silently as tears welled up in her glowing red eyes, Jiaqi had made up her mind.

She was choosing none.

It was in that moment in an entire different dimension in which separated each second of reality and fantasy, Jiaqi stepped on the ground, boosting her taking off speed as she ran towards Xueer. She couldn't breathe. If she could reach Xueer under three ticks of the dimension clock, there was still hope.

One tick. Jiaqi had reached half of the distant.

Second tick. She had passed through the 20 soldiers.

Third tick. She had reached Xueer.

Time felt like it had completely stopped as she suddenly felt a stinging pain in the previous wound on her thigh. Her eyes widened in fear and panic.

She had flinched. There were hesitations.

She was too late.
