Many things had changed. First of all, Yuxin had transferred to another school. When Xueer first heard of the news, she was over the moon. Not having to worry about Yuxin and her sinister tricks, she was more than glad for her ex lover to leave.

Secondly, the government and the king and queen of the vampire kingdom had agreed to stop all the violence and torture within each society. They were convinced after much discussing and the protests of humans. Of course not everyone agreed with the idea, however it was much ideal than the previous laws set against vampires.

Thirdly, the four vampires had returned to school and surprisingly, many welcomed them back warmly. Even their lockers were filled with flowers and welcoming notes. Before returning, Jiaqi had thought the opposite, rather than flowers, she had expected everyone to avoid them. Fourthly, the interactions between vampires and humans were normalised.

And last but not least, Xueer had enough of her parents mistreatment and with Jiaqi's encouragement, she had reported them to the police. No she did not feel one bit bad for them, instead she felt a sense of freedom, as she's no longer under the control of her manipulative parents.

In the end, everyone tried their best to change for the best, including the savage vampires who found it hard to control their desire for blood. It was a typical happy ending like in every fairytale.

"Good morning love."

Her warm and gentle voice whispered in her ear as Xueer blushed slightly. It was finally the holidays and you bet it that both Jiaqi and Xueer would be in each other's arms cuddled up together while binge watching Netflix.

A bright grin spread across the redhead's face as she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist and her leaning her head on her shoulders. Asking what she was making for breakfast, Jiaqi slowly showered romantic pecks along Xueer's smooth and fair shoulder. Softly replying Jiaqi while placing the freshly fried eggs on a plate along with slices of sausages and toast, Xueer then heaved a sigh of relief.

"Whew, cooking sure is tough. You should be grateful that I, Kong Xueer, even cooked for you." Smugly smirking, she then took the plates out to the dining room while Jiaqi playfully rolled her eyes, "As if I, the soon to be crowned queen of the vampire kingdom is that inferior to a merely popular redhead."

Pouting as she stuffed a piece of sausage in her mouth, Xueer then huffed adorably, "Sheesh, you didn't have to be that mean." Through their silly banter, breakfast was finally finished with the two doing the dishes together, chatting about what to do later on.

Deciding to watch Kakegurui after Xueer's non stop pleading, Jiaqi could only blame it on Xiaotang for recommending the redhead to watch that gambling anime. Xueer then laid her head on the short hair's lap with her body faced sideways before cutely gazing up into Jiaqi's eyes confusedly.

"Are you going to start it now?"

Jiaqi hadn't realised she had her eyes stuck on Xueer the whole time and forgetting to hit the play button. To Jiaqi, the redhead's beauty was much more to look at than a show. Even the tiniest detail on Xueer's face can't be missed by Jiaqi's observant eyes. And it was a fact that Xueer had no flaws at all, Jiaqi just couldn't find one.

Blushing a colour of dark red, the vampire embarrassingly cleared her throat before starting the first episode. There was Xueer cuddled up in her lap like a cute puppy while her lively twinkling eyes stared at the screen. With a slight contended grin slowly appearing on Jiaqi's face as she glanced at Xueer's concentrated expression, she noticed the other shivering. Almost immediately, Jiaqi instinctively reached out for her blanket laying right by them and laid it over Xueer's body.
