Headline: Catch First Flight of CEOs Leave for Shangri-La Hotel

"Dear passengers, this is your captain speaking. It is 11:15pm in Paris and the temperature is approximately 6 degree Celsius. We are landing in the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. We hope you've enjoyed your flight. Please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for landing," the pilot's voice crackles over the intercom. Mira passes me my wool cardigan and I gladly accept it. Within minutes, we are on the ground. The staff come to our suite to escort us out.

We are among a throng of about 50 people, most of whom are staff, and we are brought to the entrance of the airport where cars are ready to bring us to our hotel. The chilly hair pricks at my skin and I find myself smiling. I love Paris.

I look at Mira, who's smiling as widely.

"Where's Taehyung?" I nudge her teasingly.

"He's on the second flight because he had to meet his mother today," she says. I can't tell if she's red from the cold or because she's blushing. I grin wider.

We're quickly brought up to our rooms where Mira and I spend half an hour taking silly pictures of us dangling all around the room. The room is drenched in the night light of Paris and I'm basking in the glory of it all. It feels like a fever dream. This all pumps joy and adrenaline back into me and I never want this to end.

"Late night Paris adventure?" she asks excitedly, her eyes gleaming. We've collapsed on our beds, stomachs aching from laughter.

"Get us a car," I shoot back and she's already typing away.

"Where to?" I ask excitedly as I sit behind the wheel.

"Well, the Eiffel Tower's really close by," Mira notes as she buckles in.

"Too cliche. We can visit that tomorrow," I wave her off.

"Why don't we just drive around then?" she suggests, scrolling through her Spotify. I start the car and off we go.

Mira takes multiple videos and vlogs for God knows what. We sing along to songs and at one point, I roll the windows down. In all honesty, we've not gone far from the hotel. I'm driving at an incredibly slow pace around quiet roads because I'm that scared of crashing into something. We've been going around for about an hour when Mira starts to feel hungry.

"I'll stop by a convenience store, it's on the way back anyways," I say as she nods tiredly. I'm about ready to fall asleep too.

Mira's stretching obnoxiously as we waltz through the entrance of the hotel. The grandeur of it all still gets me.

"I need to use the bathroom," Mira yawns.

"We're nearly at our rooms."

Mira pouts.

"Fine, fine, I'll wait at the lobby," I say and she briskly walks off. I would walk further but then I see Jungkook walk out of the lifts. Followed by Ara. I freeze. There's nowhere to hide. They're both holding hands.

Jungkook's in a white shirt and baby blue denim jeans and a jacket. Ara's in some trench coat. My heart squeezes at how much better she looks than me. It's bad, I know. But I can't help it.

My heart seems to hold back a sob. Not a sob. A scream of frustration or rage of any kind. Ara turns around and they stop. She takes his other hand and I swear they look like they're about to break out in song.

Are they sharing a room? Is that even allowed? What are they even doing down here?

Thankfully, Ara seems to say something before heading to the washroom. I stand corrected. Ara leaving for the washroom is not fortunate at all. Jungkook just stands by the lifts and I exhale through my mouth before walking towards him. He looks up when he sees me approach him. He doesn't smile.
