It became quite clear to former king Jeon Junghoon realized that his youngest son hadn't been kidding about stepping down from the throne. Jungkook had busied himself with preparing his older brother for the kingdom duties while also preparing a departure speech. He had decided that he didn't want to have a ceremony for his departure so he left the celebration for Junghyun up to his wife and their mother.

Junghoon had also realized that Jungkook wasn't lying when he said he had no attraction towards the African princess who had been taking up space around the palace as of late. He had tried his hardest to get his son and the princess to spend time together but Jungkook would easily brush the lovely girl away with excuses. However, the former king didn't want to send the princess back unhappy and it was obvious that Alika was very unhappy with how her visit turned out.

He had apologized to her for his son's actions and for her disappointment and had also apologized to the king of Oseiwan for his son's abstinence. It's safe to say that the king was definitely unhappy upon finding out that Jeon Junghoon's son was choosing some common man over his beautiful daughter. The king had taken offence, assuming that Jungkook thought lowly of their kingdom and had ordered for his daughter to be sent back immediately. The deal was officially off the table, so you'd think that Junghoon was done with Jungkook.

But he wasn't.

While Jungkook prepared for his departure speech, his father decided to pay a visit to the man who he blamed for all the trouble. If it hadn't been for Taehyung, then the kingdom wouldn't be losing a great king and Junghoon wouldn't be losing his son. Jungkook wouldn't have had a problem marrying Princess Alika if Taehyung wasn't in his life.

He showed up at Taehyung's house unannounced without anyone knowing late in the afternoon. He knew Jungkook would be pissed knowing that he paid a visit to his beloved boyfriend but Junghoon couldn't care less, he's already lost the respect of his son all because of this man.

The former king saw the man at the end of his hatred standing outside of his house in front of a canvas, surrounded by paint buckets. Taehyung had didn't even notice him stalking towards him as he was too absorbed in his painting, smiling a bit and humming as he dragged his brush down the white canvas. He had no idea that some angry, wrinkly, old man was coming his way.

"We need to talk," Jeon stated, startling the younger man. Taehyung gasped and dropped his paintbrush before whipping around, eyes widening even more when he saw who was speaking.

"What're you doing here?!" Taehyung exclaimed, "leave me alone!"

"You and I need to talk, right now," the man snapped.

"No—" Taehyung shook his head, "there's nothing we need to talk about. I know what you think about me and I know what you want, we don't need to talk about anything."

No one had ever so disrespected in his entire life. No common man or woman had the audacity to talk to him the way Taehyung was speaking: with such hatred and assertion. It only made the former king madder and he wanted nothing but the burn Taehyung's house down with him and his child in it. However, Junghoon knew he couldn't do that as Taehyung's mother and sister also lived there and they shouldn't face the anger he had towards this worthless man who had plagued his son's mind.

This must be where Jungkook got his disrespectful attitude. And who's to say that Taehyung hadn't convinced Jungkook to leave the kingdom?

"Just know," Junghoon started, "once you leave, you will never be welcomed back into this kingdom — you or your cursed little rat."
