I said that the last chapter was the end of part 2, however, I decided that it's only the end of part 1. I'm still aiming for 3 parts but it may only be 2 because, I repeat, I don't want this book to be too long. This is the beginning of part 2 ✌

There will be a time skip next chapter 😁

"Did you say bye to your friend yesterday?" Taehyung asked as he grabbed Hanseok's shirt and forced the boy to stand in front of him. Hanseok wiggled out of Taehyung's grasp and stood away from him, mumbling that he could button his own shirt.

"Okay, but answer my first question," Taehyung asked.

"I told him bye and he said he'll ask his mommy if she can take him to visit one day," the seven-year-old explained with a bit of an attitude.

Taehyung knew Hanseok still wasn't fully on board with leaving especially since he realized he won't be around his friends anymore. Hanseok wasn't too happy about leaving his friends but Taehyung tried to explain that he'll make more friends and that the royal family of the kingdom they're moving to has young children and since Jungkook is still part of the royal Jeon family, he managed to get Hanseok into the same school as the said kids.

Of course, Hanseok stayed bitter.

"Well, that's good, so maybe you'll see him next year," Taehyung said with a smile.

Hanseok shrugged with his bottom lip jutted out. Taehyung just sighed and knelt down so he was eye-level with the seven-year-old. He put his hands on either side of his son's face before asking,

"Do you remember what we talked about?"

Hanseok stayed mum and nodded. Taehyung pecked him on the forehead before patting his chubby cheeks and standing back up. He was referring to the talk Hanseok had with Jungkook but he had also told Hanseok that if he doesn't like it where they're moving then they can try somewhere else. They just didn't plan to come back here. Taehyung knew it was going to take some time for Hanseok to adjust and he didn't expect the seven-year-old to be completely on board with moving but Hanseok was definitely being less obstinate and more reasonable than he was at first.

Minutes later, Hanseok joined him downstairs in the living room where Taehyung was saying his last goodbye to his siblings and mother. Taehyung gestured for the seven-year-old to come closer so everyone could hug him. His mother had tears in her eyes which made Taehyung's own eyes begin to heat up. He knew they would visit him eventually but that didn't mean it hurt any less. He was going to miss his family dearly, but he was happy that he was leaving them voluntarily and not being forced. This was the beginning of a new chapter in his life and he was happy that he had some control over how things would go now.

"I can't visit you this year, but I promise to send you presents for Christmas," Taehyung's mother said to Hanseok as she cupped the boy's face. "Wipe the pout off your face, dear, when you get the new kingdom, I want everyone to see your handsome smile."

Hanseok's sour expression stayed causing everyone to laugh. The old woman ruffled his hair before leaning down and pecking his exposed forehead. His sister did the same and his brother simply gave the seven-year-old a fist bump and messed his hair up even more than it already was.

"We'll miss you," Taehyung's mother said, placing a hand to her son's face. "But I'm happy for you."

"We're all happy for you," his sister chimed in, "and we'll be here if you ever need anything."

"I'll be fine," Taehyung reassured with a big smile, "and Hanseok will be fine too, he just has to get used to it. But thank you for understanding."
