Jungkook smiled slightly when he felt Hana snuggle closer to him followed by a small yawn. Her tiny face scrunched up and she stayed like that for a few seconds before she jerked her head to the right to end the long yawn. He put the envelope that contained yet another letter from his sister-in-law, Queen Yerim down beside him before pushing his arm underneath Hana's tiny one-month-old body. He brought her up to his face, holding her small head in his large hand. She gazed at him with small, glossy eyes before yawning yet again.

Jungkook chuckled "Are you sleepy, sweetheart? You just woke up, how are you still sleepy?"

"Being cute can be tiring," Taehyung said in a duh tone. "It's a 24-hour job."

"You would know," Jungkook said, watching his lovely boyfriend walk over to his side. He was holding Hana's pink bottle with little ducks decorating it. Jungkook handed her over to Taehyung so he could feed her.

Taehyung disappeared out of their room to take her to her nursery where Jungkook knew he would sit in the rocking chair beside the window then proceed to rock her to sleep while she ate. Taehyung was such a good father and Jungkook was sure to remind him of that every chance he got.

When Taehyung left, Jungkook grabbed the envelope that he had dropped onto his lap. With a sigh, he ripped it open, already fearing the letter's contents. Lately, things have been going bad in his former kingdom and Yerim was taking advice from him to fix it.

He folded the smooth paper down and held it up to his face to read.

Dear Jungkook,

As you read in the last letter, our kingdom isn't going in the best direction. People are getting angry with everything Junghyun does. I've taken your advice and used it as needed but your father and your brother ruin it. Your father is angry with me for writing to you and taking advice from you. "That traitor isn't a true king, he wouldn't know anything he's talking about!" he yells or "you're a queen, Yerim, you don't take advice from anyone else!" But the people are getting restless...my kids aren't safe at school. The people don't want us on the throne. Some have left, others are turning to violence. I've taken your nephews out of school. I now understand what you and Taehyung have gone through and I hate it. It's terrifying. But you handled it so well, Jonghyun, on the other hand, has used armed forces to retaliate against the kingdom's people and it's only making things worse. He struck a common child, Jungkook. With a bullet. He hadn't aimed at the child in particular, but the little one was still hurt. I fear that if this continues, people are going to revolt — they already are. And someone will actually die. Whether it's a common man or your brother, I have no idea. So you mustn't get angry with me when I ask — plead — for you to come back. Just for a while...just to get things under control. Your father and your brother can't handle it. I can't handle it. I've tried hard but your brother is angry at the kingdom when he should be angry at himself. He yells at our kids for no reason when they too are suffering. If you decide to come and take over for just a bit until you deem it ready to leave, I plan to divorce your brother and move to a different kingdom. As queen, I give you full control over the kingdom's fate and if your brother refuses the crown, then you may search for outsiders or take my eldest son and train him. I can't take this royal life anymore, and I don't expect you or Taehyung to want to handle it either. But have sympathy in your heart, and come back for a month or 2. I'm not asking you to permanently take over, but I am asking that you help us or at least your nephews and I.
Sincerely,
Jeon Yerim

Jungkook stared at the letter with wide eyes. His heart seemingly stopped just as he read his sister-in-law's request. She wanted him to come back? After what his people put Taehyung and Hanseok through, she still thought he would just come back at her plea? Of course, he felt bad for them. Junghyun was being controlled by his father and Yerim wasn't used to this side of Junghyun; hell, Jungkook wasn't used to this side of his brother. And He felt bad that their sons were struggling.

But he couldn't see himself going back to a place that didn't accept him and the love of his life. Plus, they had a baby now. There was no way he was going to leave Taehyung to care for both Hanseok and Hana.

"What's wrong?" Taehyung's voice jerked him out of his thoughts. He didn't realize the glare he wore until his gaze softened upon seeing his boyfriend.

"Yerim wrote again, things aren't going too well," Jungkook informed, "she wants me to come back?"

He watched Taehyung's expression falter a bit, confusion passing over before returning to his former expression. He walked further in their room and the look he gave Jungkook told him to elaborate more.

"She said not permanently. My dad and Junghyun are ruining things," Jungkook explained, "she wants me to go there and help."

"Are you?" Jungkook could tell Taehyung didn't want him to go just from the way his voice deepened more with the question.

"No," the older man quickly answered, "I don't think I would feel comfortable considering the reason why we left in the first place and we also have Hana and Hanseok."

"If you felt the need to, then I wouldn't stop you."

"But you wouldn't want me to go."

Taehyung shrugged, sitting down on their bed with one leg underneath him. Jungkook sighed and took his boyfriend's hand in his. He could tell that the information made Taehyung's mood drop just as it did his. He brought the man's hand up to his mouth and pressed his lips against the younger man's knuckles.

"I would never leave y—"

Taehyung covered his mouth before he could finish and shook his head. "No, Jungkook, dont say that. If things get worse there, they'll keep asking and I imagine you push aside what happened and you'll do what you were trained and taught to do for your whole life."

Jungkook pulled the blonde's hand away from his mouth. "I dont want to be a king anymore, Taehyung."

Of course, there was a point where Jungkook wanted nothing more than to finally take the throne. Before Taehyung, his only goal was to sit on that golden chair decorated with the finest and rarest gems with the crown which was an equally beautiful as the throne sitting atop his head as he watched his people. He wanted nothing more than to have all the power to make decisions and lead his kingdom to greatness. But that all changed and how his priorities were his two kids and the man sitting in front of him.

Taehyung nodded and decided not to say anything. He knew deep down Jungkook still wanted to be a king — it was all he trained for and all he knew. He still hated that he took that away from Jungkook.

His eyes dropped down to the letter in Jungkook's hands and he quickly took it before the older man could jerk it away. He read it, ignoring the sigh that pushed between Jungkook's lips.

"Jungkook, your kingdom is going to turn its back on your family," Taehyung said after he finished reading. "You've got to do something."

"I don't have to do anything," Jungkook quickly responded. "None of it is my fault. It's theirs; they don't know how to do anything. My brother was trained to be a royal, he was never trained to be a king and same with Yerim: she wasn't trained to be a queen. My father acts as though he knows what's best and so I say we let the people revolt since he's not satisfying them."

The younger man frowned at Jungkook's words but he knew there was no point in arguing. Jungkook already finalized his decision the day he turned away the crown.

"Well, consider It," Taehyung finally said, "they need your help."
