Victoria's POV

We walk down a path, Edmund in front leading the way and Sam uses this opportunity to give a tour as we pass some places. "And there's a washroom over there," he says pointing to a door not far off in a corridor.

I just nod at him at a loss of words and not from any particular reason. I struggle to think of something to talk about and coming from a guy you've known throughout high school and is probably the closest to a male best friend it's pretty ironic.

"So nice weather right?" Wait what was that?! I stare at Sam, my brow threatening to leave my face, the laugher already bubbling in my stomach as Sam just scratches his head and avoids my eyes looking at everywhere but me.

I wonder if he does like me back, let's test it, "Pretty golden I'd say," I tease and he lets out a heavy sigh and I just giggle. "Sorry about that I was really lost at words, I was a little bit distracted."

"From what? This is your house you could walk around here with your eyes closed," I ponder on elbowing him in the ribs gently. "Ow you know nothing much," he says eyes still not looking at me.

"Ah were here," he says before I can ask him to explain what he's distracted by. I look at the magnificent long table before us, similar golden and beige colors, occasionally having white or a mahogany wood giving the room an odd feel of simplicity and yet wealth, a large chandelier hanging up above.

Edmund leads me to a seat, several staff move about placing and taking various items that I can barely tell what they took. He pulls back a chair for me and beacons me to sit, pushing it back in place afterwards.

"Thank you," and he simply nods before dragging Sam whose been about three feet away on the phone to the seat on my left pulling on his ear. I giggle lightly at how the mature Sam I know had been reduced to a child.

"You're enjoying this aren't you," he says to me rubbing his red ear, I laugh some more before nodding. "It's just that you look really cute when you're childish," I tease lightly laughing again.

"But it hurts," he whines rubbing his ear, "But if you consider it cute I guess I can endure it," he says his hazel eyes and smirk reminding me far too much of Bryan but none the less he looks good, too good.

"Uh-um- let me have a look at that ear of yours," I command and he comes in closer.

"No making out during breakfast or any other form of eating," an elder woman not far off says, causing Sam and I to move away, me jumping a little in my seat.

If that's his mom that wouldnt be a good way to start things, I panic turning to face the woman at my right in a simple straight dress, her thick bright blonde hair framing a heart shaped face looking younger than her voice had given off.

I get to my feet before greeting her and she returns the gesture before sitting in front of us, well more like across me. "I take it that you were dragged here?" She asks him, a worker bring a cup of tea to her side which she happily accepts.

He nods and before he can get some words out of his mouth he's cut off, "You know it's rude to not introduce your girlfriend." Again with this girlfriend business.

"Excuse my manners dear, you must be Victoria Wilson right?" "Yes ma'am." "Ma'am, I don't think I'm that old, please call me May, I've heard a lot about you."

I look over to Sam who for some reason is a little pink. "Did he say I'm his girlfriend?" I ask and as if I just revealed some crazy secret I feel all eyes on me and almost instantly May bursts out in animated laughter.

"Well then I guess you're not," I try not to visibly show my disappointment and the woman as if reading my thoughts, she gives me a look that says it's not like that.
