He rest his head over mine and planted a loving kiss in my hair, not caring about the mud and dirt.

We all stood, cocooned in the body of the earth, feeling the rock beneath our feet and the walls caving overhead.
Small loose stones occasionally kicked up as people walked around in the small space.
The cave was supposed to become engulfed in chilling blackness. The absence of natural light meant the absence of its warming touch. The electric light wasn't enough.
In the warmth of my family's touch I didn't notice the true cold surrounding us. An eery breezed kissing the back of my neck, eliciting goosebumps to rise all over me.
"How did you guys get down here?" Anj finally ran up to my side, breathy and tired from running from tunnel to tunnel. She ran a shaky hand through her sticky blonde hair, looking from Poe to Skye.
"I'm not really sure" my mom looked to Poe with no true meaning, just a mutual support. He shrugged back, just as confused as she was.
"Well, we were flying above and all of the jets started to malfunction," Poe spoke my Mom's thoughts and from her planting her hands on her hips I could tell she was getting aggravated.
"We were forced to make an emergency landing and-" my mom scowled childishly as my dad stepped forward to talk.
"And, we stayed down for a while until everyone got thirsty because" My dad did his part, interrupting her again and knowing well enough it would piss her off.
"Obviously we weren't expecting this to happen so we weren't prepared" she gave him a side death stare as he continued talking.
"So- can you stop interrupting me?" My mom snapped, causing him to throw up his hands in mock surrender, beckoning her to continue silently, laughing to himself.
"Anyway, we all stuck together and uh, here we are" My mom looked around the room, everyone looked dehydrated a tired- and fed up.
"We fell" my dad slipped in the end of her speech and she shot a dark stare towards him, playfully slapping him on the arm. Even as adults they still acted like a pair of children.
"That's all great but how are we gonna get out?" Kam sighed, leaning up against the rocks.
To its touch, a chunk from the curving stoke and pebbles crumbled to the ground, sending Kam jumping back to avoid being hit from debris.
"I contacted the Grey Squadron, they're on their way" Anj turned and looked where we came from, slowly starting to get her breath back.
Hey eyes widened looking at something behind me.
"We gotta get out of here before we all get squashed" I mumbled, rubbing my temple with my thumb, trying to think of a plan to get us all out safely and quickly. Anj pushes passed politely to reach to what she was intently staring at.
