I fucked up, big time.

And I needed help- and I knew just the person.

͙˚* a strange case ⁺‧͙

I partially jogged to the hangar, ignoring the occasional stare I got from my awkward run/walk. I spun the corner, planting my hand on a pillar so I didn't fall flat on my face. I knocked on the door peacefully and opened it, peering my head around the corner

"Are you busy?"

"Not at all, what's going on?" just as I was about to answer that questioned Siena popped up from her seat and pointed at me, borderline laughing, tilting her head to the side with an amused grin, my brow crinkled together with confusion.

"I know that face"

"That's the face of 'I've messed up'" she stepped closer and pressed her pointer finger on the top of my chest, grinning, knowing she was right. Siena looked around for a seat and grabbed onto a crate that was in between her legs, in one smooth movement she sat down.

"Of course you know" I chuckled.

"I've seen enough mistakes from your mother to know when I see one" Siena choked out a cough and wiped her forehead down with the back of her hand, the only part that wasn't layered with grease. She then tapped the crate in between her legs and I took it as a signal to sit there.

I pulled myself down with ease in between her legs, back facing hair. I felt her start to braid and fiddle with my hair. It was like there was no kinks or knots in my hair whatsoever, her fingers worked carelessly, pulling gently at my scalp.

"Now, you could talk" Siena begun her suggestions and I submitted to my eyes hitting the back of my head and huffed out a retired laugh.

"Tried that one already" I tilted my head down as her fingers trailed to the back of my head.

"And..?"

"No chance" I shook my head.

"You and your mother are the same person" I felt her body rumble with her soft, angelic laugh.

"But you're a smart girl Mya" she tapped my shoulder gently, causing me to turn to face her. Her prominent dimples creasing deeply in a soft smile.

"You'll know what to do" she cupped my cheek, I clasped onto her wrist and slowly moved her hand away.

"Insightful"

"Don't use big words and expect me to understand kiddo" she chuckled heartfully and I nudged her back on the knee playfully. I had to smile, Siena was like a second mother, she'd do whatever if I said the word. She treated me like her own, I never understood how someone so sweet never found anyone to return the love she would give them.

"She just lost her sister, she needs time"

Time. Seemed like I had loads but not enough. The time I 'had' seemed to wither into nothing and just when I thought I got what I needed, something would drag on. So little time that when I grasped onto it, it would slip through my fingers like worthless pennies and drop down the drains.

"Excuse me-"

We both snapped our heads round to an unfamiliar voice and face. A man, much older than Siena was standing in the doorway of the hangar, his eyes traced the room to me and our eyes met with a friendly smile that creased his cheeks and wrinkled his eyes.
