Akala ko kapag nagmahal ka at minahal ka din ng taong mahal mo ay magiging madali na ang lahat. I thought it would be a bed of roses. Funny. How could I forget about the thorns?

Pagpasok ko pa lang ay sinalubong na ako ni Mama She at dinala sa kitchen. Pinaupo niya ako at inihain ang mga cupcakes na ginawa niya. "I baked these awhile ago. Pupunta na sana ako sa inyo para dalhan ka. Buti na lang ay bumisita ka."

I smiled and tasted the cupcake. "Wow! Mama, She, this is the best cupcake! Sobrang sarap!"

She giggled. "Yan ang gusto ko sa'yo. Napaka-bolera mo."

"Hindi, Mama. Masarap talaga!"

"I'm so happy you liked it. Dalhin mo yung para sa inyo ng Pops mo."

I nodded with a big smile. "Uhm.. Mama She, si Shin po?"

Tumaas ang mga kilay niya "Hindi ba niya nasabi sa'yo na may lakad siya ngayon?"

Umawang ang mga labi ko. "Saan po siya nagpunta?"

"Sinamahan niyang mag-golf ang Tito mo." Hindi ako nakakibo. "Baka nakalimutan. Nagmamadali kase ang Tito mo."

I smiled. "Baka nga po."

Mama She told me where I could find them, so I decided to go there. I felt so guilty for lying to him and not replying to his messages yesterday. Hindi sapat na magulo ang utak ko at may tampo ako sa kanya para hindi ko sagutin ang mga mensahe at tawag niya.

Napag-isip ko na hindi ko dapat takbuhan ang problema namin. We should talk about it. Hindi ganito.

I saw Tito right away, and he was with another man. My forehead creased a bit; tha man looks a bit familiar but I can't remember where I saw him. Hindi na muna ako lumapit dahil nag-uusap sila. Nagpalinga-linga ako at hinanap si Shin.

I saw him on the field, but he wasn't alone. Bitterness filled me as I saw him smile at her. It felt like I was punch on my chest. Am I so selfish if I say I don't want him smiling at other girls? Gusto ko sa akin lang. It hurts to see him smile at Ally.

It hurts to see him having fun with Ally..

I watched as they approached Tito Fred and the other man. My lips parted as I recalled the man; he's Ally's father. I bit my lips. Akala ko ay masakit na yung nakita ko silang magkasama sa cafeteria. Mali pala ako. This is more painful.

He never took me to play golf with him and Tito. And seeing him do that with Ally, broke my heart big time.

Aya looked surprised to see me outside her apartment, but she was even more surprised when I started crying. "Uy, bakti ka umiiyak?"

"Aya.."

Hinila niya ako at niyakap. I was filled with so much pain. Hinagod-hagod niya ang likod ko at hinayaan akong umiyak. Matapos kong iiyak ang sakit ay tulala lang akong umupo sa couch niya. She tried asking me about my problem but I remained quiet and staring into space.

She decided to call Cherry. Inihatid siya ni intsik. Kaagad siyang lumapit sa akin. Upon seeing me, her lips parted and turned to Aya. The latter shook her head as she really had no idea what happened to me.

"Will she be okay?" I heard instik ask.

"Can you do us a favor, intsik?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Can you buy us some food and beer?"

"Yes, please baby."

"All right. No problem."
