Heejin was still not sure if she could believe Donghyuck telling her what her brother had said about her, but she also couldn't ignore him any longer after he told her that he loves her. She knew he meant that, but she didn't know about her brother saying those things.

"Donghyuck, there is no way. Are you sure you were in the right state of mind?" Heejin asked Donghyuck. They were sitting in class, waiting for the teacher.

Donghyuck sighed for the millionith time. He had lost count of the real number. "Yes, I'm sure. He acted like he didnt want me to know he was talking about us, but like he did at the same time."

"That makes zero sense!" Heejin exclaimed. "Just forget about it."

Younji walked into the classroom and went over to sit down, but stopped when she saw Heejin sitting in her new seat. She dropped her bag and crossed her arms.

"So I'm guessing you two made up?" Younji asked.

Heejin shrugged. "Kinda."

"We're dating now, incase you didn't know." Donghyuck started, which caused Younji to widen her eyes. "But she still doesn't believe me about Junhee."

"Oh my fucking- Heejin, he's not lying. I talked to the kid Junhee was talking to when he said that stuff and he actually said it." Younji said. She had found out who Junhee had said it to and talked to him. He was also a kid who had a reputation for not lying.

Heejin snapped her head towards Younji. "Wait, so he actually said those things?"

"You are so dumb and ignorant, I swear." Younji said, shaking her head.

Heejin quickly stood up and stalked out of the room. She had to find Junhee. If he really said those things about her and Donghyuck, he had no reason to lie now.

She spotted Junhee talking to a kid by the lockers. She walked over to him, but stopped when she heard her name.

"I don't know why Heejin would believe him over me or why she would date him after that." Junhee said. "It's unbelievable."

Heejin was furious now. She grabbed Junhee's arm and spun him around. His eyes grew wide when he realized she just heard his entire conversation.

"So you really did say those things about me. I cannot believe you would lie to me. It's unbelievable." Heejin spat, mocking him at the end.

"Heejin, I-" Junhee was cut off.

"No, don't even try to use a stupid excuse." Heejin stood closer to Junhee. "I should've never trusted you so quickly."

"Heejin, please! I only said those things because dad made me!" Junhee exclaimed.

Heejin furrowed her eyebrows. "I thought you stopped talking to dad."

Junhee sighed and rubbed his temples. "He told me before I left his house that if I didn't try and make you hate me, he would make me go back there. He wanted you to run off and he thought you would run to him. I didn't ever want to go back to him, so I agreed."

"So let me get this straight." Heejin said. "He wanted me to run away to him, so he told you to be mean to me? And if you didn't, he would make you go back to him?"

"Yes, exactly." Junhee clarified.

Heejin nodded. "Okay, whatever. I'm not as mad now, but it's going to take me some time to trust you fully again. Also, never talk about Donghyuck like that again."

Junhee hung his head. "I'm sorry. I'll give you some space."

With that, Junhee turned and walked away. Heejin didn't move a step. She was very confused by what her life has turned into. She wondered how she could be so dense and stupid. She almost lost her best friend, her brother and the love of her life. Now she has to figure out where to go next.
