A few days had passed and Donghyuck hadn't bothered Heejin, except to get a cherry lollipop at lunch everyday. She noticed that he seemed to like the cherry ones. It was the only flavor he ever took. Heejin took it upon herself to buy extra cherry ones.
Heejin walked into class ten minutes early today, seeing the only person in the room being Donghyuck. She went over to his desk and handed him a cherry lollipop. He gladly took the sweet candy, quickly unwrapping it and putting it in his mouth.
"I don't understand why you only like the cherry ones." Heejin said, taking out a lollipop for herself. Hers was grape.
Just as she was about to unwrap it, Donghyuck took it out of her hands and replaced it with a cherry one. "Cherry is the best."
Donghyuck stood up and went over to Heejin's desk. He picked it up and carried it over to sit next to his. He sat back down in his seat and patted the seat to Heejin's desk. She chuckled and sat down, sticking the cherry lollipop in her mouth.
Donghyuck took Heejin's lollipop out of her mouth— as well as his own— and held them up next to each other. "You eat these slow."
He put his lollipop back in his mouth and did the same for Heejin. He looked around the room, before cupping her cheek and rubbing his thumb back and forth.
"You're cute." Donghyuck stated, causing Heejin to blush.
"You're not too bad yourself." Heejin replied, pecking Donghyuck's cheek with a kiss.
Donghyuck smiled. "I think maybe I like you."
Heejin was taken aback. She wasn't expecting him to just come out and say that. She knew by now that she liked him as well. She had thought about it countless times.
"I think maybe I like you too." Heejin responded, a slight pink tint still painting her cheeks.
"Let's go on a date." Donghyuck suggested.
"Sure. Let's do it." Heejin agreed.

Heejin met Donghyuck at the park that weekend. It was snowing, with it being the middle of winter and all. The two began walking along the side walk, which was pretty desolate.
"Build a snowman with me?" Donghyuck asked, eyeing a heavy patch of snow a few feet away.
Heejin nodded and started running towards the snow. Donghyuck quickly followed, immediately beginning on the first part of the snowman.
Soon enough, the two had all three parts of the snowman made and stacked. Heejin went and found some stones and sticks to give the snowman a face and arms. The two weren't prepared, so they had to give the snowman a flat nose and a scarf and hat that some kid had left at the park.
"Herbert." Heejin spoke. "That should be his name."
Donghyuck smiled and nodded. "Herbert."

Heejin and Donghyuck had been walking along the side walk after building their snowman, when the snow started to pick up. Heejin told Donghyuck to follow her to her house, where they could keep warm and out of the snow until it subsided.
The two walked as quickly as they could to Heejin's house, soon reaching the front door. Heejin opened it and let Donghyuck inside, following after.
"You can put your coat on that chair and your shoes can sit next to it." Heejin said, taking off her own coat and shoes. "I'll go make some hot cocoa."
Donghyuck looked around the room he was in. He noticed a few pictures hanging on the walls around him. To his right, a picture of Heejin when she was young, which he thought was cute. To his left, a picture of Heejin and a lady, who he assumed to be her mom. In front of him, a picture of Heejin in her high school years. And behind him, a picture of Heejin and Younji. Donghyuck figured that to be a new addition.
Heejin came back in a few minutes later with two mugs full of hot cocoa. She handed one to Donghyuck, to which he gladly accepted. He took a sip and thought it was pleasure to his tastebuds.
"Is that your mom?" Donghyuck asked, pointing to the picture of Heejin and the mysterious lady.
A smile appeared on Heejin's face. It was sort of an instinctual and proud smile. "Yeah. She's my rock. I don't see her much anymore, though. She gets home after I'm asleep and leaves before I wake up. I only really see her on weekends."
"Where is she now?" Donghyuck questioned, seeing as it was the weekend and she was nowhere to be seen.
"She's out with a friend. I told her I was going out, so she decided to do the same." Heejin explained.
Donghyuck nodded, taking another sip from his mug. "I live with my grandma and my cousin, Mark."
"No siblings?" Heejin asked.
Donghyuck shook his head. "Not living with me. I might have some, but I don't know about them."
Heejin hummed. "My brother lives with my dad. He's only a year older. I don't know how he is or where either of them are."
"I'm sorry." Donghyuck apologized, even though he had nothing to apologize for.
"Oh, it's okay." Heejin assured. "I didn't know them well, so it doesn't really bother me. Me and my mom are close. I do kinda wish I could see them again someday, though."
"I'll help you find them." Donghyuck offerred. He was serious. He could tell Heejin really wanted this.
Heejin chuckled. "You don't have to do that."
Donghyuck shrugged. He was going to help her either way.
