Ba Sing Se

"Everyone up!" Korra shouted, bursting into the room.

"There's a group of criminals called the red lotus coming after the Avatar," Lin Beifong told them as she came through the door behind Korra, "we need to keep a sharp eye out for four people."

"But first, the Earth Queen is kidnapping air benders," Korra told them sternly.

"And Kai?" Sukara asked, getting up from her chair.

Korra nodded, confirming that he had been taken as well. It filled Sukara with rage, she didn't realise how attached she had gotten to the kid but she knew she had to find him. And he better be safe for the Queen's sake.

With Lin's help, they were able to infiltrate the Earth Queens prison to get back the kidnapped air benders. The plan was going well until they were attacked by the Dai Li.

Korra attacked first, then the rest of the team followed. All they needed to do was to get everyone on the airship and out of Ba Sing Se.

It was proving difficult for Sukara to keep her bending to just water. There was so much earth around them that it put the Dai Li at an advantage. Even if she could just use fire bending, using water was enough to protect herself but she wasn't used to holding herself back so much.

It had also been so long since she had been able to bend properly that only allowing herself an inch when she was aching to run the mile was infuriating.

"Come on let's go!" Korra called out, telling everyone to get on the airship.

Sukara turned to go with her but she spotted Kai a couple of metres away. An Earth Kingdom soldier was about to fire a rock towards his head.

"Kai watch out!" she called as she jumped forward to protect him. Pushing him out the way, only narrowly avoiding the rock herself.

He turned away to protect his face. Without thinking, Sukara hit the ground hard with her foot, sending a rock flying into the air. She punched it, sending it into the chest of a Dai Li agent.

"Go! Quickly!" she told him, pushing him towards the air ship with air bending.

A water whip to the face of an Earth Kingdom soldier and she was hot on Kai's heels following him up the ladder.

A Dai Li agent grabbed Sukara's foot, while she climbed. As fast as she could, she let go of the ladder with one hand and shot a fire ball down. She allowed herself a moment to watch him fall. Eventually though, she climbed the ladder and got into the airship.
