I hate her. That's what I felt the first time I met her.

"Guess what, Kuya?" Tiller said with a playful smile plastered on his lips.

He was just in Manila last night and now he's here in province? Ano nanaman kayang balita ang dala niya at mukhang napaka-importante. He doesn't want to tell me about his concern over the phone. And his reason? He wanted to tell to me about it, personally.

"What?" I tried not to sound interested.

"I'm getting married."

Umangat ang mukha ko at humarap sa kanya. He's getting married?

"Is that all?" Walang ganang sambit ko. Pumunta pa siya dito para sabihin lang sa akin na ikakasal na siya? Such a witty fate. Probably, an arrange marriage for convenience.

Marriage my ass. It is just an illusion, I won't fall for it. Mas okay na 'to, para naman mabawasan na ang mga babaeng ng kapatid ko. He's an asshole when it comes to girls. Buti nga sa kanya, matatali na rin sa wakas.

"Good for you. Make sure you'll take that seriously. Who's the hapless girl?" I asked him with a mocking smile.

"You guess who, Kuya." Nakangiting sambit niya. He stand up and started to leave.

Hindi pa siya nakakalayo nang magsalita ulit siya. "I'm leaving tomorrow. Pumunta lang ako dito para sabihin sayo ang magandang balita. And bro,let me tell you this...she's really beautiful and I bet, you'll like her. She's worth to be introduced to you, kuya."

I was left dumbfounded. He's crazy. Beautiful his ass. Hilig niya lang talaga ang magaganda,at hindi na ako magtataka na kahit poste,patulan niya na rin. His soon-to-be wife will be living as hell kung maikakasal siya kay Tiller. What a pity.

"Tuloy na ba talaga ang luwas mo ng Maynila, apo? Bakit madalas ang pabalik-balik mo doon? Are you seeing someone now? Seryoso na ba 'yan, apo?" He sounded so intriguing.

Tinawanan ko nalang ang tinuran ni Lolo. I have flings, Lo. And I don't have time for a serious relationship now, or ever. How am I supposed to commit in a relationship when I know the fact that I can't even stay loyal for at least one girl?

"Hey handsome...I'm Wella." A girl with her slender curves, her long black straight hair, and a perfect skintone clung her arms around mine. She was about to sit on my lap when another girl came. Muntik pa silang mag-away sa harapan ko kung hindi ko lang sila tinaboy.

What a shame. Desperate girls. Tumayo ako at lumapit sa bartender ng bar. Inabutan niya ako ng beer at mabilis ko iyon tinungga. Minsan lang ako lumuwas dito sa Maynila kaya nilulubos ko na. I'll be leaving tomorrow, anyway.

"May mali ba sa akin? Why can't you just love me like I do for you? There are lots of good things about me and you—"

"There's only one good thing about you, Elvies. You're easy to ignore."

Lumingon ako sa dalawang tao sa gilid ko. Nakatalikod sa akin ang babae at malaya ko namang nakikita ang mukha ng lalaking ngayon ay maiiyak na. What a scene. Just a lover's quarrel I think. I was about to leave when a girl talked again. "You were only a time-pass in my life, boy. So go ahead and don't barge in to my life again."

Tinanaw ko nalang ang kaawa-awa at papalayong lalaki. He's helpless and stupid and fool. How can he be so serious and in love with this girl when he can have so many girls? Hindi lang itong babaeng ito? What's so special about her?

"Whiskey please." Naka-side view na siya sa akin ngayon at hindi ko pa rin makita ang mukha niya. Unti-unti siyang humarap sa akin nang mapansin ang titig ko sa kanya.
