Chapter 18

-- George POV --

          "Yes. If you say that you love me."

          What? What did he just say? I was stunned for a moment by what he just said. I could feel my face getting warmer, my heart beating fast. Does he even understand what he is just saying? He must be joking right?

          "Okay. Can I have the sword, Dream?" I tried to calmly ask, laughing a little and trying to focus searching in The Stronghold. I thought that maybe he would shrug it off and move on from what he just said.

          "Say it that you love me!" Nope, I was wrong.

           "Dream! Please, stop."

          "Say, 'I love you, Dream.'"

          "Oh my god it's like part of a ravine!"

          I panicked, getting more and more confused. First, we were still recording for the video, I had to make sure not mess up in the game. Then, Dream kept wanting me to say 'I love you' to him, pretty sure he didn't really understand what he meant. He might think this was a joke to entertain shippers who ship us. They donated a couple of times every stream, wanting me to show some affection. I guessed Dream just goes along with them right now.

          "Say it!"

           "U-uh s- No! No say it."

           "Say it!"

           "No!"

           "I give you a rose, now say it!"

           "If we recorded forever, I'm not gonna say it."

           "I know, George. Say it, say it!"

            "No."

             My heartbeat sped up and I felt like there were butterflies in my stomach. What is this feeling? Why am I so nervous? Is this because the game or because Dream keeps teasing me? I couldn't think straight at all. Suddenly I remembered what Sapnap said, about Dream being my crush.

            No! There's no way he is my crush. Dream is an AI. He is my best friend, nothing more. This, this is just because I have a rush from the game and his teasing only makes it worse. I kept reassuring myself, even though there was something wrong with my heart when I think like that.

          "You're never gonna get your sword back or food or anything, George."

          "Dream, I'm gonna die and the video will be over if you no-"

          "George, say it!! Say it!!"

           "Aaaahh.." I groaned, sounding like I'm dying inside. "Stop."

            Oh my God. The teasing was getting too much for me. I wasn't used to showing affections to people easily. So saying these three words is really hard for me. In my mind, these three words were really something you said not just for jokes. But, do I love Dream, though? My eyes widened when I realized what I was thinking, my heartbeat went faster. Wait, why did I think about that so suddenly? Ahhhh I feel like I am going crazy. This is not because I have feelings for Dream. It can't be that. He is an AI, George! You can't fall in love with an AI. This must be because the game. I'm just stressed because I can't find a stronghold and there are so many mobs here also I am in part of a ravine.

             "Say it, George! The sword's gonna despawn. I have it on the floor, George."

             "No! Pick it up, and I need blocks!"
