Chapter - 34

"Why didn't you inform us when you would be planning for your baby shower Azalea?"
Camilla looked at her daughter accusingly.
"Mom!!"Azalea raised her voice.
"Now you have the audacity to speak back to me?"
"Camilla?Dan?Why don't you let me explain the whole situation?"
"And will it make me feel any better when your own daughter failed to invite you in her wedding?"
"Its a pure misunderstanding."
"Care to elaborate Xander."Dan intervened.
Xander gestured both of them towards the sofa.
Calming his breath he related the entire story...

4 hours Earlier...

"You look stunning Azalea.Honestly I'm envious of you right now.You have the perfect height and killer curves.Not to mention you have the most hottest boyfriend,correction fiance in the world."
Azalea just shrugged.But she had a ghost of smile on her face.

"Gianna aren't we getting late now?"
"Right."She muttered unapologetically.
A black Maserati stood outside the salon.She quickly got inside the car.
"Off you go,gorgeous.Its time to sweep your man off his feet."
Azalea grinned and kissed Gianna's cheek.
"You're the bestest friend one could ask for."
"Damn straight I am."

In no time,the driver snapped the car into gear and slip it out into traffic.She reached the venue at the recorded time..As she got out of the car,Xander stood waiting near the entrance.
Xander and his perfect timing!!
She beamed at him.Xander looked at her awestruck.Without realising where they were he kissed Azalea passionately.
"Umm..you definitely missed me."She said a little breathlessly.
"Don't flatter yourself I was just trying to put up an act."He replied cunningly.
Azalea was hurt from his comment but by now she was good at hiding her feelings.
"You bet your soul huh?"
He stared at her.She looked drop dead gorgeous.No wonder he couldn't control himself.He felt like an ass for treating her like shit,though he will give her that she quickly masked her feelings even though she was hurt.

She raised her chin defiantly and strutted across the carpet.He fell into step beside her.
"I am sorry,that was uncalled for.I umm..shouldn't have behaved like that."
She again looked at him like really looked at him.He wondered whether this woman can see his soul?
"Its fine."She smiled at but it didn't reach her eyes.
Arm in arm they walked together,people made way for them as if they heralded their king and queen.
They both made the handsomest couple amongst the crowd.People whispered here and there.
"Welcome,welcome my two most favourite people."

Azalea beamed at Bill Smoak.Xander had this sudden possessive feeling.He wanted her smiles to be reserved only for him.
"How are you my dear?"
"I am fine,thank you."Azalea smiled gently at Mr.Smoak.
"Quit the frowning Xander.It doesn't become you.I am not going to steal away your girl."
Bill man hugged him and whispered in his ears.
Xander nodded.
After the exchange of pleasantries,Azalea excused herself to meet Tom,Ian and Bianca Harvey.
"Hello Mr. And Mrs Harvey,hey Tom."
"My,my aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"Tom teased.Azalea blushed.
"Hush Tom.So this is Azalea?"
A beautiful woman stared at Azalea.
"This is my wife Bianca."Ian introduced.
"Nice to meet you."
Bianca surprised Azalea by hugging her tightly.
"Thank you,for taking care of my Xander."Her voice cracked.
Azalea looked into Bianca's green eyes and nodded solemnly.
"Can I have a dance with the beautiful lady?"Tom intervened in with a grin.
Azalea turned around only to see Xander flirting with a very pretty lady.Concealing her hurt she replied:
"Why not?"
She laid her hands on his and together they swirled around the dance floor.
"So you got engaged?"Tom enquired rather awkwardly.
"Umm.yes."Azalea bit her lip.
"That is why you had that no dating rule right?"
He asked her questions as if he was trying to understand her.
"Right again."Azalea said calmly.She knew Tom had feelings for her and even though she couldn't return them,she didn't want anything to complicate their friendship.
"Then,I think I was a little late."He pouted.
Tom looked very adorable.
Azalea chuckled.
"Maybe."
"Aah."
"Do you mind if I cut in?"
Xander asked rather rudely.His body was stiff.
"Sure."
"Talk later Lea?"
"Ofcourse."
As soon as he was earshot.Xander roared.
"What the hell was that?"Xander whispered yelled.
Azalea had a puzzled expression.
"You are my fiancee.Aren't you suppose to dance with me?"
"Oh you want to go that road?Aren't you my fiance?Then were you outrageously flirting with that woman?"
"She was an old friend."
"Say the word Xander,old flame."
"Whatever."
"Exactly whatever."
"Don't talk to me like that."Arrogance exuded from this man.
"Or what?"Azalea gritted her teeth and glared at him.She didn't realise,she looked so stunning with her eyes flaming with anger.
He kissed her passionately irrespective of their surrounding.

"Or this."He whispered huskily.He ran his tongue on his lips savouring the feeling of her soft lips.
Azalea was all hot and bothered.She quickly made her way towards the washroom.
A flutter of nerves assailed her as she eyed herself in the mirror washroom.Her face flushed pink.Her hair a little disarrayed.She tried to tame her curls.She frowned as she ran her hand over the red silk neckline of the dress.To describe it as plunging would be the understatement of the century.The dress was made of silk and clung to her curves like second skin.

Reapplying and correcting her already smudged lipstick.She once again stepped outside the washroom only to discover Xander waiting outside.His hands in his pocket.
A kaleidoscope of butterflies rampaged her insides as she scraped her eyes from his brow to his nose,to those lips-and a thousand memories of his kisses battered against her so that she was weak against her knees suddenly.

"We need to talk."Xander replied seriously.
"Umm..?"
"I would like to welcome Xander King to the stage."
"That's my cue."He cupped her arms and nudged her gently towards the stage.
"Why are you taking me with you?Bill asked for you."
"Can't leave you amongst hungry wolves."He murmured more like he was talking to himself
"Huh?"
"Just forget it."
"I would like to proudly announce that we are now working in collaboration with Kings' Enterprise headed by the Ceo Xander King.Please give a huge round of applause."
Bill announced on the microphone.
Xander had a proud grin on his face.Azalea chanced to look at Ian Harvey.The man was not a least bit disappointed.Azalea's eyes met with that of Ian and she smiled at him gently.
A crowd of news reporter surrounded them.
Xander tugged her arm but his cufflink collided with her hand.The impact brought her engagement ring to fly out of her hand.Azalea gasped but Xander quick with his reflexes caught it mid air.
She smiled at him and mouthed 'Nice Mr.King.'
Xander smiled at her and put her ring on her left hand.He kissed it fervently with a small smile on his lips.
They didn't realise their action was recorded on the national television.
"Are you two married Mr.King?"
"Who is this lucky woman?"
Azalea widened her eyes.
Xander balled his fist.His smile replaced with scowl.
"So much for keeping it a secret."Xander muttered angrily.
At the distance,Xander noticed Tom eyeing Azalea.He didn't like Tom just as his father.Jealousy was a foreign feeling for him.
Therefore,before Azalea could utter a word.Xander replied with a fake smile.
"Yes, I am married to the love of my life.Please meet Mrs Azalea King."
The crowd gasp.Tom looked away angrily.
'Take that loser.'Xander's mind shouted.

Despite of it,Azalea smiled at the crowd.Her gut said something wrong is going to happen.This was not the way she planned her wedding...again.
