Pain does not end with death.It just channel its source from the corpse to the beloved.

Anastasia assisted Xander to drink water.After sipping some more Xander laid back his head and again closed his eyes.
A moment later Xander opened his eyes once again.Dark grey clouds stared at the ocean blue sea.Something passed between them..

"Do you remember when you asked me why I couldn't hurt you when you umm forced me?"
Xander managed to nod.She looked right into his eyes and went on:
"I don't know whether you remember this or not but when I shouted your name.Your eyes widened and you realised that whatever you were doing was wrong.I saw raw emotion in your eyes.And it was the remorse or pain of a human not a rapist..or a beast.
It was the agony of a man who had a difficult childhood.A battered child whose mother abandoned him at a tender age.
I know Xander people call you beast and yet you are unaffected.Because you want them to believe that about you.It is those high erected walls you have created for yourself so that no one will see through you or eventually hurt you.
I want you to know that I see you Xander and all I see is naked beauty.All I see is a wonderful man whom I have fallen for irrevocably.I'm in love with you Xander King.And I'm not going anywhere.Not now,not ever."

Xander eyes held hers and he smiled at her.Then he looked at the other side,his eyes widen.He looked at her again.His eyes had mixed emotions.He never looked at her this way.It was a mixture of awe,surprise maybe love?
"Sia.."he croaked.
"No Xander ,do not talk."
"Let me."Xander cleared his throat.

"I want you to know the reason why I badly wanted to acquire that company.It was no ordinary thing for me that time.
It was the same company against which my enemy or,so as I thought of him was contesting with me.He was the one for whom my mother abandoned me and my father.I was blinded by revenge.I wanted him to suffer just like I did.
He was the reason my mother left her eight years old boy.I couldn't see past my revenge Sia.So now,you do you know why I was ready to go with this fake marriage?"

"But little did I know,my life would be intertwined with yours.To you maybe its a bad experience.Hell,that was the life I made yours isn't it?"Anastasia shook her head.
"But for me, it was the most amazing thing that happened.See I'm selfish that way."He sucked his breath.His lips were dry.

"Only if I wasn't such an ass.I hurt you Sia..very badly.Despite of it,you l..love me.I don't even know how?I can't even come to terms whether I'm worthy of your love."

He took a deep breath.His heartbeat was erratic in the heart monitor.
"Xan..."He raised his palm to stop her from interrupting.
"I hurt your kind soul my lovely one.And this I shall take it with me to my grave."
"I forgive you Xander.."Anastasia whispered.
"For which I shall always be grateful."

His face looked pain.
"Promise me something Sia."
"Anything."
"I've never consumed drugs in my life.I swear on my father."He took a deep breath.
"I was drugged."Anastasia gasped.
"What?By whom?"
"The night I forced you is also very hazy,which confirms my fear that I was drugged that same very day.Not that it justifies my action.Promise me that you will stay out of harms way.Promise me you won't be blinded my rage to avenge my death."

"Xander don't talk like this.You will be fine."She was confused why the hell is Xander referring to a future without him.And about his death?Where is it coming from?And why his eyes keeps on darting between hers and the door.

"But honestly,I want to know who did this to you?"
"I can actually see the wheels turning on your head."He tried to chuckle but immediately grimaced.
He clutched his heart.
"Xander let me call the doctor."He shook his head.
"Not necessary anymore.I don't have much time."
"What rubbish."
"You promise me,to hold on to all the goodness in your life."
His lips were trembling.
"Xavier likes you.He will take care of you.Better than me."His eyes pinched shut with pain.
"No Xander.Xavier is a brother to me.No one can replace you.I don't want him.I just want my Xander."She whispered the last sentence softly.
Tears falling freely from her eyes.
"My Xander..I like the sound of that."
"Anastasia,I wish I could put an actual ring on this."He kissed her finger.
"Tell Dad he is the bestest father."
"I'm not going to tell him anything.You will tell him yourself.Do you understand Mr.King?"
"Take care of Dad,take care of my fa..mily....aah."Xander flinched in pain.
Anastasia shouted.
"Please somebody help."
"Doctor...."She yelled.
Within a fraction of second doctors paraded inside the room followed by Bruce,Xavier,Roxanna and Regina.

"What happened Ana?"Xavier panicked voice enquired her.
"Xander cannot breathe.I think his heart..."

Doctors started preparing the defibrillators.
Xander's face was contorted with intense pain.His eyes pinched shut and breathing irregular.
"We're losing him..Nurse give me the injection.I would request all of you to please step out."
He slowly opened his eyes smiled at his family.His brows crinkled.He mouthed 'love you both' to Roxanna and Xavier and closed his eyes, never to open again.

Doctors tried to restore his heart beat, but failed.Dr.Monroe injected a needle on the centre of his chest yet his body remained lifeless.
"I'm sorry Mr.King.He's gone..We couldn't save him.My deepest condolence to your family."
"Nurse record the time of death 8.40 am.
Reason:Heart failure (side effect of Mescaline)."

Roxanna shouted 'No' and sobbed vigorously on Xavier's shoulder.
Anastasia fell to the ground with a thud.Her world came crashing down upon her.
Xander cannot leave him.
"No,no,no.Xander come back."She whispered between sobs.

She broke down and cried her eyes out.
Her heart gone forever with the man she loved..

Damn,I am actually crying.And yes folks Xander King is dead.My heart goes out for Anastasia.
