A Dream Come True

Chapter- 5

On saturday Anastasia got up early and completed her morning chores.After eating her breakfast she took a warm shower.She shampooed and conditioned her hair as instructed to her by Roxanna.These few days Roxanna has helped Anastasia a lot.She also gifted her a mobile phone much to her protest.Roxanna and her fashion experts team were due today.Just as Anastasia got out of her bath and was towel drying her hair.Roxanna barged inside her room along with a man and women.

"Hello my beautiful sister.This is Christi,she is incharge of your beauty while Leonard here will help you with the dresses."

Christi was a beautiful dark brown eye lady in her mid twenties,while Leo as he preferred to be addressed was around Roxanna's age.

"Hello,sweetie.My,my you're a beauty.Xander is a sexy lucky man."He winked at her.
Anastasia raised his eyebrow at Roxanna.
"Leo here bats for the other team.If you know what I mean?"Roxanna whispered conspiratorially.
Anastasia grinned.

Anastasia felt as if she was under scrutiny.Leo and Christi eyed her and made a note of things they would require.
They started with plucking her eyebrow,tweezing,scrubbing her face,waxing her body.Initially Anastasia was very shy but soon Christi made her comfortable.Leo and Roxanna worked in fixing Anastasia's gown fitting silently in the next room.After Christi finished.Leo and Roxanna re-entered her room.All the while the trio joked with Anastasia.There was never a dull moment.She applied makeup on her pale white skin,and a dab of highlighter.Chriti made her eyeshadow bold and smokey but not slutty.She applied shiney eyeliner and mascara that brought out her ocean blue eyes.She then put on a crimson lipstick to her plump lips and dust off some face powder to add a finishing touch.

Christi then added a lot of cream in her hair and made it voluminous.She put dark blonde hair in a stylish bun and curled her loose tendril cascading down her almond shape face.While Leo was helping her putting on the dress.Christi started working her magic on Roxanna.It was already seven p.m.
Quickly they got ready and kissed Leo and Christi on their cheek.

"Go knock them off.If I would have been interested in girls.I would definitely be hooking up with you girls."Leo winked at them making everyone laugh.
They hurried off and climbed into the waiting limo.Xander would meet them directly at the venue.

Anastasia was very nervous.Roxanna squeezed her hand.
"Before I forget.Xander forgot to give you these.You lost your wedding band and engagement ring.So here it is."
She took out two beautiful ring.One a plain platinum band ring studded with small diamonds.And the other a large diamond rock in the middle of the beautiful adorned ring.Anastasia wore it on her clammy finger.

"And this is a gift from me Ana."She presented a matching diamond earring.
"No,Rosa I cannot accept anymore gift from you.You've done a lot for me."Anastasia protested sincerely.Clearly Roxanna has undergone so many troubles just for her.
"Do I look like a person who can handle rejection?"Roxanna added smugly.
"Ok,but this is the last gift.Promise me."Anastasia pouted.
"Promises are meant to be broken darling."Roxanna scoffed.They both laughed loudly.
There conversation stopped when the limo halted just outside a large building.Several news reporter stood near the entrance.
"You'll be fine just keep your head held high and smile."
As soon as Anastasia stepped outside the limo she frozed at the cacophony of voices and blinding flashlights.Roxanna nudged her forward.
Several questions were thrown at them.At the very moment Xander like a knight in shining tuxedo caught Anastasia and Roxanna.He kissed his wife's and sister's cheek.His touch sent a zing to her core.
"Don't look so scared,they are vultures waiting for its prey.Relax and smile."
Anastasia looked at Xander and gave a dazzling smile.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
"Mr and Mrs King please this side."
"Mrs King pose here."
"Can we have a kiss?"
Suddenly everyone chanted "Kiss,kiss,kiss."Anastasia gulped loudly.
"Let's give them a show shall we
darling?"
Xander whispered huskily and smashed his lips on her.She was surprised,her eyes widened and cheeks flush.
Xander murmured Relax against her lips all the while kissing her.She kissed him back.He held her close and kissed her passionately.
She clung to him,her legs felt wobbly.When they moved apart.Xander snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her towards him.All the while Roxanna had a goofy smile on her face.
As they walked inside all eyes were on them.But Xander kept on looking at Anastasia.
Roxanna whispered to them.
"Xavier is right brother,you are whipped.Good luck both I'll see you around."
With that she walked towards the crowd of people inside the banquet hall.
Anastasia was very self conscious.She kept fidgeting in nervousness.While the men oggled her shamelessly,women mostly glared at her.
"Stop with your nervousness.You're attracting undue attention."Xander whispered yelled at her.
While several men and women congratulated him.Several wore an inexcrutable expression.Most of the ladies Anastasia noted were far more beautiful than her and they kept on flirting with Xander shamelessly infront of her.
She kept her face straight but failed miserably,when Xander left her alone with a beautiful brunette whose dress spoke volume about her.She was tall,sensous and amazingly beautiful.Her dress was extremely tight.She suddenly felt very small.

"Hello Ana,welcome to your party."Xavier greeted her jovially.She instantly relaxed seeing a familiar face.Xavier hugged her.
"You look breathtaking Ana."He smiled at her sincerely.
"Don't think otherwise.My brother is a fool.But he'll come back to you."
She remain stoic.Xavier can percieve things more than anyone.She just shrugged.
"Come,I'll introduce you to my friends."

He gently tugged her arm and folded it with his arm.
"After you,milady."Anastasia blushed.
They halted infront of a group of dashing men.
"This is Jason Robert my childhood buddy.And these are our associates and friend.
Frank Morgan,Ben Kennedy and Garrett Graham."
All four men were extremely handsome.They were all around in their late twenties.They all look dapper in their black tux and white button down shirt.

"Hey man who is this beauty?"Garrett who had get black hair and light blue eyes came forward and kissed her knuckles.
"Tone it down with the charm man.She's taken."Garrett pouted like a baby denied his lollipop.
"She is Xander's wife."
Everyone was stunned into silence.Garrett quickly moved back.
"What was that?"Anastasia asked innocently.
Xavier looked at her adoringly.
"They are all scared of the beast."They all laughed except Garrett.There laugh attracted everyone at the party.From the corner of her eyes.She saw Xander looking at them angrily.
She decided she should have fun whilst it lasts.
Roxanna joined them.
"Hey guys."She chirped loudly.
"Hey Rosa,you look beautiful."Jason greeted.A sudden tinge of pink colouring her cheek.
"Are you enjoying yourself Ana?Don't let these men get into you."
"I'd dare not.Xander will kill them."She said teasingly.
Xavier hoots in laughter.The guys widened their eyes.They really were scared of Xander.

Bruce King cleared his throat on the mic.
"May I have your attention please.I would like to call my beautiful daughter-in-law Anastasia and son Xander to come up on the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife."
Everyone cheered loudly.
Anastasia swiftly made her way towards the dance floor.Xander caught her arm.
"Welcome to our family Anastasia."
"Son,take care of her.She's a keeper."Bruce whispered the last part to his son.
Xander nodded and held Anastasia closely.
His smile was tight.She danced slowly.Others joined them in the dancing area.She saw Roxanna dancing with Jason.Both of them smiling at each other.

"I told you being my wife there are certain obligations.Why were you shamelessly flirting with Xavier's friends.That doesn't become you."
"Flirting?What are you talking about?"Her eyebrow pinched together in confusion.
"You are not to stain my name Anastasia."Xander gritted his teeth.
"And that does not apply to you when you were actually flirting with your girlfriend."She retorted back.
"What girlfriend?"
"The brunette."
"Fiona is my childhood friend.We were not flirting."
"Yeah I can see that."She drawled.
She has decided not to let Xander treat her like dirt anymore.
He held her more closely.His hand digging on her waist.
"You want to see how I will punish you?"
He dipped his head and kissed her ferociously.This was not a passionate kiss.He was punishing her.Anastasia squirmed in his arm.His hatred palpable in his action.
She wrenched her arms and ran out of his reach.Since everyone else was dancing so no one noticed.She ran straight towards a passing waiter.He dropped the glass of wine on her.
His eyes widened.
"I'm..s.. so sorry ma'am.I didn't see you."He stammered.
"Its ok,it was not your fault."Saying that she dashed towards the washroom.
Inside the washroom she broke down.She sobbed and kept on crying uncontrollably.After sometime she calmed herself.She saw her face.Her face was lined with black lines of eyeliner and mascara.She cleaned herself as much as possible.She decided to take some fresh air.Her head was pounding.She had a flash of negative where someone was kissing her furiously.
She held her pounding head.She didn't realise she was moving towards the balcony.She took a deep breath.
"Why did you marry her Xander?She's such a disgrace to you."
Anastasia stiffened at this.With soft steps she hid herself and noticed Xander and the same brunette Fiona talking in hushed whisper at the corner of the room beside the balcony.
"I know,I wish I could turn it around."He sighed.
"She is not worth you."
"Yes,she's not worth me."He nodded and replied softly.Then suddenly the brunette kissed him.Anastasia gasped but collected herself quickly.She saw that Xander didn't resisted her.Clearly he loves her.Then why did he marry her?All this was so confusing and to some extent hurting.
