"Hey Nishikata" Said Takagi meeting Nishikata at the usual place on the way to school.
"Hey Takagi-san" Said Nishikata.
He noticed that she was currently wearing her necklace that he had gotten her and he blushed a little.
"Haha. I don't even have to try to get you to blush Nishikata! " Said Takagi laughing.
" W-well... I-it suits you" Said Nishikata embarrassed.
" Thanks. I should get you a gift as well" Said Takagi.
"You don't have to" Said Nishikata.
" I want to" Said Takagi.
" Um... O-okay then" Said Nishikata.
' No matter how good it is, I'm sure it will tease me in the end' Thought Nishikata as they made it to school.
"Hey Nishikata. You've want to go do something after school? " Asked Takagi.
" I can't. I have work" Said Nishikata.
"What about tomorrow?" Asked Takagi.
"Work" Responded Nishikata.
"Day after?" Asked Takagi.
"Work" Said Nishikata.
"You're really working a lot Nishikata." Said Takagi.
" Well... I-i have make money somehow" Said Nishikata.
" How much did this necklace cost?" Asked Takagi
" Don't worry about it" Said Nishikata.
" Nishikata. I want to know" Said Takagi.
".... A...a few thousand yen" Said Nishikata.
" Hm. I see" Said Takagi turning around to do her schoolwork.
' I feel like she is going to get me something close to that price' Thought Nishikata.
"T-takagi-san... You really don't have to get me something" Said Nishikata.
" Hm. Okay" Said Takagi.
" R-really?" Asked Nishikata.
"Yes. But. You have to do one thing before I agree to that" Said Takagi.
" Okay what? " Asked Nishikata.
" Next time it snows. You have to come to my house" Said Takagi.
" Deal! " Said Nishikata.
' Hehe. They've already said the chance of any snow this year would be less than 10% of happening! Meaning she doesn't have to give me anything in return, and I don't have to go get teased by her. It's a win-win! ' Thought Nishikata.
Two days later it had snowed. A whole foot of snow had fallen and stuck to the ground and school had been cancelled.
"Welcome" Smiled Takagi at Nishikata with her hands behind her back.
"H-hey" Said Nishikata.
' Why!? The chances were about 90% of it not happening! I'm never trusting the news again' Thought Nishikata.
"Come on in. I already have a fire going on" Said Takagi.
" O-okay" Said Nishikata defeated.
He took his shoes off at the door and followed Takagi to her fireplace.
"Are you cold? You aren't wearing much warm clothes" Said Takagi.
" I am a bit. I've outgrown a lot of my clothes" Said Nishikata.
