We are still here in my office. Trying my best to comfort a friend even though I've never been good at it.

"I'm scared, you don't think it will turn out like the last time?" she said. "I did research last night and the chances of me experiencing another ectopic pregnancy are high."

"Dee let's not think too far ahead, first thing tomorrow you will consult your gynecologist and I'll come with you"

"I haven't been there for a long time. I know I wasn't the only woman to go through it but the heartbreak was very painful I did not even have the courage to study about my case after I came out of the hospital. You know what happened with my relationship after that right" of course I know, I know exactly well about the verbal and physical abuse Justin has put her through.

"He and I did not plan on conceiving yet, heck we have not talked about it since. I do not even know if he still wants to have kids and I certainly did not expect my other fallopian tube is still working" she said in a joking manner talking about her surgery two years ago, I tapped her strongly on the shoulder not quite amused of her joke.

"Hey don't be rude on yourself, that wasn't funny" she chuckled while wiping her tears.

"Haha, I'm just really scared you see this was not expected but I want it. I want it too bad that I'm afraid it will be another tragedy." She hugged me tightly while I pat her on the back. Oh Dee, poor Dee.

"How long have you known?"

"Yesterday morning" she uttered.

"Yesterday?" so that's why it took her long enough to join me for breakfast.

"Sorry for not telling you sooner and for making you wait for breakfast I needed some time to get a grip of myself" she doesn't actually need to apologize there's nothing to be apologetic of.

"Sweetie you don't have to worry about that. I may be your friend but your personal stuff is entirely up to you. You shouldn't feel pressured about telling me and I would have understood if you didn't but still thank you for doing so." We embraced each other again Dee not letting go.

"So that's why you are pretty emotional lately huh? I kinda thought you were turning into a cry baby" I joked as I free myself from the hug. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. Crying is only a form of vulnerability but not a weakness.

"Thank you," she said.

"Pft. What are friends for" finally she smiled and went back to the usual Dee that I know.

"I need a retouch but before that where were we again?" Here we go.

"Ahhh. Me being mad at you?" I said.

"Oh please. You said you weren't" did I?

"I never did"

"Yes, you did. Come on, girl he won't bite"

"No, and that's final"

"Rachel. You are old enough to be in a relationship why don't you give it a try?" She said crossing her arms.

"Like a friendship?" I joked.

"No. You know what I mean"

"Uh-hmm. No thanks" pretending to think about it.

"Don't tell me you are not gonna show up again like the other blind dates that I've set you up with?!" It's not like I can outrun him he said he'll be picking me up here and unless I will leave the restaurant earlier then obviously I'll be a no show.

"Chill why are you getting mad? And it's not like I agreed on those blind dates it was all you besides I just won't come out when he comes to pick me up there's a difference." She opened her mouth and covered it with her hand like I said something shocking. Oh please.

"Stop it will ya? Just tell him I'm busy when he comes in the afternoon"

"No. That would be rude"

"What's rude is you guys forcing me to go on a dinner that I'm not happy to be in"

"We're not forcing you."

"Really? What are you doing then?" This time I crossed my arms too and raised an eyebrow

"Knocking at your conscience" that actually made me laugh. She has used that line to me a lot of times before.

"No"

"Yes"

"Na ah. You are going okay?"

"Give me one good reason then"

"Because it's time for you to meet new people?"

"I do meet new people. Every day here at the restaurant to be specific"

"That's different you have to meet someone and welcome him in your life"

"Him? I thought you said 'people' why is it singular then"

"Argh. You are impossible Ms.Rachel Leslie Reyes" Dee has this habit of speaking my complete name whenever she feels she cannot win an argument with me. This sometimes makes me laugh but make me appreciate her more at the same time for all the things she's trying to do for me yes even those blind date setups.

"Haha. You're just gonna waste your time. Just go your make up is all worn out."

"I won't leave till you say yes. The guy even came here personally to ask you out"

"He didn't actually ask me out. It's just like paying something that you owe"

"Honey I know you are not dumb to notice that he is trying to make a move on you"

"Actually I am, kindly enlighten me" Dee pretended to faint in front of me and I could not help but laugh at my friend.

"Alright, alright. Stop it now okay? Now go back to your work lunch is almost here" I said looking at my watch.

"Okay, I will but make sure you give the guy a chance."

"I'll think about it"

"Promise?" Giving me that fake look in her face again.

"Yes. Now can you please go? It's actually getting crowded in here with your presence" kidding,

"Ouch!" She said and we both laughed as she makes her way out of the office.
