"Why is it that when we go out it's always for dinner?"

"Because I think that's your only free time," he said while driving

"How can you say that when you have not even asked," I said. I saw him smile from the rear-view mirror

"You mean to say I can borrow you in the morning?"

"Pft. No, I have things to do in the morning"

"See? And you are even asking me why. But you know what, my Dad always told me this 'If they love you they will make time for you no matter how busy they are " he said in a tone like ' I am just saying don't take it seriously '.

"What do you call these then?" I said obviously, we are in his car right now going somewhere I don't have any idea of.

"You mean to say you love me?" He smirked

"No. I am accommodating you but you are neither a priority nor an option because if I was given the choice I'd rather be home now READING"

"Ouch! That hurts but I'll take that as a sign that you include me as your friend" did I say that too harshly?

"Okay I'm sorry that was cruel of me"

"That's why I like you, even more, you know when to acknowledge your fault"

"Whatever!" I noticed that he made the left turn after the intersection which to my knowledge isn't home for diners, cafes, eateries, or any of the sort. Where is he taking me? Dee did not tell him, did she?

"Where are we going?" I asked calmly.

"Just stay back love, I am not kidnapping you"

"I'm serious where are we going?"

"Ain't telling you" I saw that we had already passed the familiar road that's why I let it go.

I remained silent for a good twenty minutes or so. I've noticed that he does not nag me about it now unlike the first couple of dates we had. Date? Did you just say date, Rachel Leslie Reyes?

"Don't you have anything else to do? Dee told me that you are on vacation and as far as I know you should be traveling someplace else for leisure not coming to the restaurant every afternoon" I said out of nowhere

"Well, you are my vacation. Aside from checking up on things from time to time at work, I do not have anything else to do. Hey, have you noticed that you've been talking a lot this time? Haha "

"Ha! I can't believe you find this funny but seriously though can you like to take a break or something? I mean let's not see each other tomorrow okay?"

"Okay I'll give you a break," he said as he makes a turn to the right

"Thank God!" I said but then I realized that we are now entering a tunnel-like mother nature created by the looping vines. It wasn't that long maybe a good ten meters when we finally reach the end of it and I was confronted with a huge house, definitely gigantic.

"Where are we?" I asked as he pulled over outside of the house.

"My parent's house"

"What?!"

"What are we doing here"

"This is where we having our dinner"

"No!"

"Yes, let's go?" he smiled.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!!"

"Take it easy with the swearing love"

"No!!" He got out of the car first and went to my side door but I locked it instantly and refuse to let go of the door handle.

"Rachel love, " he said. Knocking on the window "my parents are waiting for you, please?" No, I refuse to do so, how dare he bring me here without asking my permission? Why am I meeting his parents? No! Why?

"Rachel, please get out of the car now" No I will not. Should I call Mang Ed? What shall I do?

"My mom even cooked her mastered dish for you and she seldom does that" he knocked on the window again.
"Okay I'm sorry if I didn't tell you sooner, I was sure you wouldn't say yes but I told Daph" what does Dee have to do with this? Is she the one joining them for dinner? I can't believe that girl didn't even warn me.

I let go of the door handle and instantly he opened the door for me
"Thank you," he said

"If you're thinking I'm doing this for you, you are wrong. I'm doing this for your mom I don't want her to feel upset" You know the feeling when you cook for people but they ended up not eating it? Well, I hate that, and I might not have met his mother yet but I truly appreciate it when people do things for me.

He was scratching the back of his head again, grinning at me. I don't know but I find it cute. Gosh!

"Lead the way," I said and followed him behind. I am not good at describing things but the house is enormous inside and just like any other opulent family, if they still do that these days, they have this big portrait hung on the wall.

"Ate Rachel," Clover shouted as soon as we enter the living room. She ran up to me and gave me a tight hug which I did in return.

"Hi," I said.

Clover and I have already smoothed things over but I haven't still agreed on the cake part I have to do a rain check with Hyacinth for that again since I've already canceled it in the schedule the last time.

When I said 'every day' earlier, I mean it. Every day since that morning Flute keeps on coming to the restaurant to pick me up for dinner which I never really agreed to because even without me replying or answering his calls he just shows up and Na-da!!! On one of those days, he came to the restaurant earlier to have lunch, he asked Dee to call me in my office since like I said I wasn't answering, and after a long debate with my friend I went out to accommodate him and saw that he wasn't alone at the table.

I am not the type of person to walk out for such a simple thing so I still joined them for Lunch. He left in the middle of eating claiming that he has something to talk about with Dee but I doubt that and long story short I forgave the kid who was stuttering the whole time she was talking. Do I look that bad? Maybe. But just like his line, I don't bite.
