I don't remember how I ended up here in this room but I do remember that I was talking to Dee. I had a strange feeling even before we arrive home, I injected the epinephrine however I still felt dizzy, my vision started to be blurry,  and nothing. Who brought me here? I thought as I take a look around. 'Aw!' I squirmed when I accidentally used my right hand administered with IV to help myself up and I guess the mask was for oxygen as I lift it up from my head using my left hand. Was it really that severe? My God how could I have ended here! I massage my head as I still feel a little lightheaded, just a little.

"You're awake," said a familiar voice.

"No, I'm not"

"Should I be happy with your being sarcastic?"

"What time is it?"

"Quarter to 4 am" I look up at him and he was looking at me dead serious.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"Taking care of you" no kidding but my heart skipped a beat when he said that.

"Precisely my point. Why are you here?"

"To take care of you," he said again in a solemn tone

"You didn't have to"

"Who else would? Dee? David? Cynthia? The kids? I'm sorry but shouldn't you actually be thanking me?"

"Nobody and nobody asked you to. I can take care of myself"

"Okay. I'll just leave then call me when you need anything" he didn't say another word and turned his back on me I watch him as he picked up his jacket from the chair and shut the door behind him.

Nice one Rachel, what a way to say thank you. I lay again in the bed thinking how unpleasant I've treated the man who may have stayed with me all night.

My conscience was eating me when suddenly I heard the doorknob turn.

"Did you really think I would leave you?" Said the same voice I was talking to earlier.

"Yes. Did you forget something?" I said as he comes closer beside the bed.

"Well, Do you really want me to leave?"

"Up to you" I don't understand myself too. Why am I still acting this way when I should be grateful someone is here to keep me company especially in this condition.

"Okay, I will leave you alone then," he said and started to take a step again. I just remained silent debating with myself.

"For real?" He asked like waiting for me to stop him. Was it my natural instinct to stretch out my arm and caught his fingers? Is it normal to feel a tingling sensation when our hands touched? His expression tells me that he was surprised by what I did, well, I am too.

"Wait,"  I said as I look at him in the eye "I'm sorry"  he smiled at me and reached for the chair beside my bed without letting go of my hand.

"I'll give you a pass this time since you're laying there," he said smiling from ear to ear. His smile warms my heart.

"No seriously, I'm sorry that was rude of me AGAIN"

"That's alright love, I forgive you now" he smiles as he kissed the back of my hand. I ought to snatch it away from him but he held it tighter before I could do so and I still feel weak that I don't think I have the strength to do it.

"What are you doing I asked"

"Nothing," he said smiling.

"You are lucky I don't have the energy to fight with you right now, how dare you take advantage of me"

"You held my hand first," he said.

"Yes, to stop you so that I can say sorry before you leave again" lie, you know it wasn't only because of that.

" I wasn't gonna leave any way I planned to stay at the visitor's lounge if you insisted for me to leave"

"You are crazy"

"Crazy for you"

"Tsk! Let go "

"No, I think I like it this way," he said as he finally takes a seat.

"I'm sleepy" haven't I slept already? Why do I still feel tired?

"Go ahead. I'll be right here" Flute said in a caring voice.

"You should rest too," I said

"I will. After you" I felt his right hand caressing my face and I hate myself for loving the feels of it.

"Fine suit yourself" I know I
doze off instantly and whether he let's go of my hand or not I'm actually happy that he is the one with me in this very room.

I opened my eyes and the sun is already shining radiantly on the hospital window. I kind of hope that it was a dream but obviously not. I look to my left and he was peacefully sleeping beside me still holding my left hand. I planned to slip it away carefully but he must be a light sleeper that he woke on my slightest move.

"Good morning, " he said. He's still so good-looking even just after waking up. If my mornings are always like this then all is well. What? You're the one who should wake up Rachel, what are you imagining?

"You should have slept there," I said pointing at the bed provided for watchers.

"That's okay"

"Tss! Like I said why hurt your back if there's a mattress for you to take a rest"

"I just wanted to be beside you"

"Ewwww, let go of my hand," I said as I snatch it away

"I see that you are back to your old self again" he chuckled.

"What?!"

"You know I like the one I met earlier but I prefer this better because you are fine now"

"I don't know what you are talking about" I nonchalantly said

"That's fine," he said grinning.

"What time is it now?" I asked. He looked at his watch and for a second I claim that he's sexy.

"It's now eight in the morning, are you hungry?"

"Not exactly but I better request for a check-out I have a meeting with clients," I said and helped myself up attempting to put my feet on the floor

"Woah, take it easy. Dee already handled that yesterday"

"Yesterday?"

"Yup?"

"Yesterday??" I repeated

"hm-mmm. You've actually slept here for two nights"

"What?!!!!!! Where's my phone" I snapped.

"Wait," he said as he goes to open the drawer of the overbed table.

"Here," he said. I took it immediately and yes he wasn't lying today is Sunday.
