Emma's POV

"Shouldn't you guys be in there?", we heard Meryl's Mom asked

I looked at her, without doubt thinking that she's tired and worried

Her face says it all

I am standing infront of her door and Marcus is behind me, sitting at a chair

"I think I'll breakdown if I do, so I refused", I responded

Nag step back ako para mabuksan ng Mama niya ang door

Marcus is now right behind me, holding my shoulders

Nag smile lang si tita sa'kin

"It's going to be okay", bulong ni Marcus sa'kin habang hinila niya ako papasok

The room is quiet and smells fresh

Dumiretso ako kay Meryl, umupo sa isang chair at tumabi sa kanya

She's just resting there and breathing

Hinawakan ko ang mga kamay niya.

I don't want to lose you Meryl, we have to win this fight

"Don't y'all worry so much, Meryl wouldn't want that, would she?", sabi ni Tita Jozzy, mama ni Meryl

"Hindi naman po tita", I smiled

Hindi kami nagtagal doon kasi maglulunch pa kami. Iniimbita ako ni Marcus na mag lunch together pero hindi ako pumayag

Wag muna ngayon, "sorry ha, I just---"

"Hey, it's okay, I totally understand, pero don't skip ha", he looked at me and smiled

I just nodded, "sige, pasok ka na", sabi niya

Kaya pumasok na ako sa room ko

Agad kong binuksan ang phone ko para mag message kay Clent sa kung ano ang nangyari pero busy pa'yon sa school.

Hindi nagtagal, pumasok si Rosa sa room ko

"Kain kana baby", nakahiga lang ako sa bed ko

Lumapit siya sa'kin para tingnan kung gising ba ako, kaya pinikit ko mga mata ko, "I know you're not sleeping"

I sighed and decided to sit properly, "I'm sorry", I said

Ngumiti siya at kinuha ang pagkain ko, "kain ka"

"This is what I'm most afraid of", she just stared at me, "napaginipan ko pa ngang mawawala sila e", I smiled at her, "and here I am, wondering if it'll come true or not.."

I paused for awhile, "just wonder because I can't", my tears fell, "I just can't help them"

"Oh honey", she hugged me, "it's going to be okay"

The next day, dumiretso ako sa kwarto ni Meryl

Gladly when I entered her room, she's already awake

"Oh hey, you're awake", I said happily
