BREAK X AND X THIRD

(Y/N) sighed, looking up and faced with the backs of her companions. Leorio and Kurapika. They had dinner and were ready to go to bed when Tonpa approached them,
"Hey you three! A word of advice from a friend to a friend!"

The three turned around to Tonpa, his intentions were pretty clear but they decided to tolerate it,
"What is it?"

Leorio asked, Tonpa gave a cheeky smile and said,
"In the Hunter Exam you must not let your guard down, there's some pretty dangerous people here"

(Y/N) glared, knowing two people he was implying. Leorio and Kurapika nodded,
"Thank you, we'll keep that in mind"

Kurapika thanked Tonpa as the trio began to walk away. Tonpa smirked to himself thinking 'idiots, I bet they won't get a wink of sleep!''. Tonpa could almost laugh at the thought of the three staying up, in fear, and completely unprepared for the next phase.
"He can't be serious right?"

Leorio asked the two that were walking beside him. (Y/N) shaked her head no and Kurapika responded,
"I doubt it, however we shouldn't have our guard down"

After dinner was served, Leorio and Kurapika decided to go to sleep like the rest of the applicants. However, (Y/N) had a sudden burst of energy that wasn't allowing her to get a wink of sleep. She walked around the airship to explore and look for Gon. She was rubbing circles on the sides of her head, trying to remember how it went,
"Where could he be...."

She mumbled to herself as she continued her walk around the airship until she made it a door, seeing a familiar white haired boy walk out. (Y/N) quickened her pace to the door and peeked inside to see Gon and the chairman. Oh yeah, the three trained together (Y/N) thought to herself, she assumed it would be rude to interrupt so she entered and sat on the sidelines to watch. The chairman tilted his head at the view of a new person,
"Ah looks like we have another guest"

Gon turned around and smiled,
"Oh hey (Y/N)!"

He said in excitement. (Y/N) smiled and waved,
"I hope I'm not interrupting"
"No not at all"

Netero told (Y/N) as he motioned Gon to continue. (Y/N) watched Gon make many attempts to grab the ball out of Netero's hands, failing each time. (Y/N)'s energy began to die down little by little as the two continued.

Killua was thinking to himself as he walked away, a little longer and I would have killed the old man to get the ball. He thought to himself but later remembered seeing the (H/L) (H/C) haired girl walk into the gym him, Gon, and the old man were training in. (Y/N), one of the strangest people he's met in the exam. She's very much small and tiny, but her level in skills were hard to pinpoint. He wondered how her presence disappeared almost into this air. He's learned to do something similar but he should at least sense her there.

He bumped into a pair of applicants that were passing by. Killua said nothing as he continued minding his business, but the two men didn't like. The man that bumped into Killua turned around and reached,
"Hey! kid-"

The short man couldn't finish his sentence as his head was cut clean, along with the taller man beside him. Sprays of blood tinted the window and walls, but overall avoided staining Killua's clothes. If there was something he knew it was to keep your friends close but enemies closer, potential enemies were no exception.

He decided to go back, why? Well he had a plan to at least get to know (Y/N), he had a bad feeling and only wanted to get an idea of what to do if she decides to do anything suspicious or bad. He took a different route to avoid the bodies that were maybe still there. Eventually he made it back to the familiar door he was fighting with the chairman. He slowly opened the door and peeked inside. Sitting in the sidelines, the same short girl he began to acknowledge, she was definitely tired and looked like she needed a nice long nap,
"Hey Miny, do you know where everyone is?"

Killua asked.(Y/N) snapped out of the little trance she was in her head and looked up at Killua. It was odd to ask that. Her eyes moved to Gon's direction to see if he had anything to say, but he was too distracted to notice. She stood up and said,
"Yeah... do you need to know the way back?"

(Y/N) asked awkwardly, she was rightfully suspicious of Killua. He should know his way back she thought to herself as Killua nodded. (Y/N) took one last look at Gon before following Killua out and leading him back with the others. Killua mentally sighed in relief as (Y/N) led towards the opposite direction of those guys he killed. (Y/N) complained to herself,
"Damn I'm gonna forget my way back..."
"Idiot how do you forget your way back?"

Killua chuckled before commenting. (Y/N) turned around, irritated, and tells Killua,
"Then why are you making me lead you back? How did you forget your way back?"

(Y/N) waited for a response, only getting a shrug and a cat like smile from Killua. (Y/N) only turned around and continued the walk. Killua decided to ask a question,
"So Miny, what did you do back at the second phase?"
"Stop calling me Miny and what are you talking about?"

When (Y/N) asked, Killua sped walked a bit to be by (Y/N)'s right side,
"I'm talking about when you killed the pig. One second you were there and one second you're gone"

(Y/N) was not thinking about what she was going to comment,
"You think assassins would be smart enough"

There was silence and time for (Y/N) to realize what she said. Killua attacked. (Y/N) backed up to the wall and grabbed her metal hoop. With Killua's hand aiming at her throat at the speed of light, she used her hoop to force his sharp nails to hit the wall next to her. Inches away from hitting her,
"Who sent you?... Did my family pay you to watch me? How did you know I'm am assassin?"

Killua asked darkly. (Y/N) jumped away to create space and collect her thoughts. She held the hoop up as a sign of defense, Killua ripped his hand away from the wall,
"Calm down Killua! No one sent me for you. I came here to prove something to my family. That doesn't include killing you or following you. It's not hard to figure out who you are by the way you act"

She's telling the truth but not about the last part, Killua thought as his eyes were glued to (Y/N). She's right, she's not being sent by anyone but she did know he was an assassin and not by how he acts. Once Killua relaxed and his hand go back to normal, (Y/N) lowered the hoop,
"Okay, we good?"
"Yeah sure, let's keep going"

Killua said as he now began to lead the way back.

It was the next morning and everyone was standing on the top of some sort of tower. After the conformation of (Y/N) not having a desire to kill Killua, he's been fine with her around. The five stood together as the chairman stood towards all the applicants,
"In the third phase, you need to be at the bottom of the tower in a span of seventy-two hours. I wish you all the best of luck!"

And with that, the chairman made his way to the airship.

Everyone was left there with seventy-two hours and the goal to make it to the bottom of the tower
