Hello. Here's a chapter.

..................

If sleep was a person, sleep had shackles around all of Virgil's limbs.

Well, maybe shackles were a bad description, shackles were probably really uncomfortable. It was more like sleep had somehow made every part of his body heavy. Every muscle and crevice he had was sinking into a mattress, while something too heavy to be a weighted blanket was spread on top of him.

The weight was accompanied by a home-like warmth that cradled him; simmering underneath his skin and sinking into his bones. He sighed, before shifting as much as the weight would allow him. He became faintly aware of the red that was staining the back of his eyelids, warming them slowly.

There was light shining on his eyelids. That's why Virgil woke up.

Virgil exhaled deeply, wrapping his arms around the thing beside him. It was soft and supple, molding to fit against Virgil perfectly. The entire moment was too comfortable for Virgil to even consider leaving, but he was curious.

He pried one sticky eye open, and his sleep-addled brain saw a closed eye, and a strangely placed track of freckles glowing in the weak sunlight.

Ah... So it's Logan...

Virgil let his eyes slip closed again.

To Virgil, Logan ment warmth. To Virgil, Logan ment a refuge from other people. To Virgil Logan ment he could nuzzle his nose back into unbelievably soft hair without fear of judgement or being pushed away. Virgil sighed, reveling in the way they melted into each other.

It was far too early in the morning to be anxious, and the two of them cuddled often enough for it to be considered normal by this point. He concentrated on the weight pressing against him, the wafting smell of lavender and the tickle of a breath on his shoulder before he was tugged back into the depths of unconsciousness.

...........

"...oblivious? Are you sure...?"

"....-tually adorable..."

"...know? So what use is pining....."

Virgil sighed, nuzzling deeper into the warmth he was surrounded by. It fizzed around him like an electric blanket, a strange constant in the blur of senses that surrounded him. His palms found the arc of a back and he crossed his forearms over it, relaxing at the way if fit perfectly.

"...seriously, if Eve had any clue about my feelings, I'd probably just go for it, bro."

"Yeah, I know..."

" -own pace, surely you of all people could respect that?"
"Be quiet, Seth, you're gonna wake him up!"

Virgil groaned, nuzzling further into his blankets in an attempt to block out the noise. Unfortunately his senses decided to become acutely aware of everything, as was usual with his anxious demeanour. Unwanted stimuli infiltrated every outlet he had, making him hum with displeasure at the all-too-familiar sensation. He groaned, burying his face further into what felt like Logan's chest.

"Ohhhh my god you woke him up."

It was barely whispered but it was enough for Virgil's eyes to snap open and glare at Roman, who was watching him, pink-faced from his fanboying.

"Roman I swear to god if you wake him up I will end you." Virgil hissed, gently maneuvering himself away from Logan. Logan in all his unconcious glory let out a faint noise of disagreement as he pressed his face into the warmth that Virgil's body had left behind. Virgil tried to tuck the blanket in between their torsos in an effort to seperate them, but then he realised that their legs were still tangled and deemed the endeavour fruitless. To both his delight and despair, Logan merely hummed, before pulling himself closer to a now thoroughly red-faced Virgil.
