Hello, fellow fanders!

As a result of me being far too sleep deprived, this chapter has come out nearly a week late.

*Pops sad party popper*

I'm surprised you guys even read this now, it's just a hot mess by this point.

Virgil's fingers clenched and unclenched in his pockets as he tried to get his entire body to relax. He was sitting on the couch in Emile's office, and was trying one of those strange meditation/connection thingies Ray had mentioned.

He exhaled, before tensing every muscle he could in that position, then starting at his toes, unclenched them moving upward to his head. Despite being only two instructions wrong, his stupid body was refusing to comply. Every so often he'd hear a sound or think a thought that made his eyes snap open, and dart to the door.

He kept expecting to see his therapist, but no one appeared. Emile said that he'd be back within a few moments, and that he had to pick something up for Virgil. Thankfully he'd asked permission first, instead of just springing a surprise gift on him.

In all honesty Virgil felt guilty for accepting it, seeing as he hadn't done anything for Picani so far. Heck, Picani had helped him approach quite a few of his unhealthy habits, and Virgil hadn't done anything in return, and now he was getting Virgil a gift? Seriously? Did this guy's kindness have no bounds?

Well either way, Picani was great. He considered asking Ray to teach him to bake cookies so he could give Emile a few, but that would probably be a waste of Ray's time seeing as he'd have to stop to explain stuff to Virgil. He groaned before sitting up and drawing his legs up onto the couch.

Soon enough his attention flicked away from the door and to the countless posters that were plastered on the walls. He'd considered trying one of the shows Picani raved about, and all the animation looked really cute too. But the fact he had a brooding aesthetic to keep up had delayed him jumping into another fandom.

But then again if he did start watching one of them, the only person who'd see him do it would be Logan, right? And Logan had already seen him delirious from sleep deprivation, cry because he stubbed his toe, and sleep curled up, so there was no reason to worry about his aesthetic when he was around. Maybe he could watch it with Logan... The thought made him blush.

Suddenly the door burst open.

"Alright, took me a while, but I've got it now!" The beaming man flounced in holding a small wooden box in his hands. "Now I know you're not one for trinkets, but one of my friends was cleaning out her house, and I have far too many of these anyway. I think Remy would kill me if I bought home another one,"

"Remy?"
"My husband." hummed Picani, rose rising in his cheeks. "He's a dear, but he gets kind of annoyed with my collecting habits."
"You're gay?"

"Pan, actually. You're bi so I didn't think you would mind..." said Picani, a small look of worry coming over his face. It didn't offend Virgil, but clearly Picani didn't know that. Maybe he thought Virgil was some sort of exclusionist or something. He personally found that kind of offensive.

This is stupid.

"No, I don't mind. Could you maybe tell me about him?" Picani raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure, Virgil? This is your therapy session after all." Virgil's gaze shot down to his fingers, and he winced internally. Emile was able to see his discomfort already, but the action had surely highlighted it.

"I-If you wouldn't mind. I get it if you don't want to talk about personal, that was kind of overstepping my boundaries, wasn't it-- I mean, who asks their therapist about their personal life, even thought that's what therapists ask normal people-- maybe you could consider it reverse therapy-"
