So, here's a little background about this story -
Mark and Lexie are still living their lives. Julia and Mark are together, and Lexi feels alone most of the time in her new apartment. Lexie begins to rethink a lot of her decisions about the future...
They arrived at the restaurant, and as Derek did before, held the car door open for the two sisters in the back who were laughing along together.
Meredith - "Thanks Derek" she said giving him a flirtatious smile
And Mark went to grab Lexies bandaged hand, before Meredith gave him a look and grabbed her other hand, "sisters before misters" and they both turned to look at two very disappointed men as their women skipped off together before stopping in the door of the restaurant to wait to be shown to their table.
They were shown to their booth, which all of them were very happy about, and sat down to choose their meal and drink.
Derek - "So, what's everybody fancying?" He asked looking up at them all with wonder
Mark looked towards him and answered quickly "the triple steak burger with fries" he said closing his menu happily and placing it on the table.
Meredith answered too "The Salmon with garlic potatoes" she said "oh and a bottle of wine...Actually, i'm going to need two tonight" she looked towards Lexie smiling, until she realised what she had said
Mark - "um...so what about you Lex? What do you want?" He said changing the subject swiftly
Lexie stared at them all, bewildered and answered with hesitation "Um...I'll just have a pizza" she said, looking at all of their faces again as she piled her menu on top of Marks
When the waiter came over, he took their order, Merediths two bottles provided by Derek tonight and the rest of the group also ordering an alcoholic option.
When he had gone, short conversation arose, the 'how was everybody's day?" And then the more complicated conversations about teretoma's, brain bleeds, and the amount of epi's to give a patient. Then after that, was Dereks questioning
Derek - "So Lexie, what specialty are you thinking of picking? I reallyyy hope its neuro" he said with a smile

Lexie - "Yeah Derek, I think it might just be neuro. I was thinking about it on my days off, and I'm pretty sure that's my definite answer now." She smiled back at him, an d placed her hands on the table, opening them as though she was doing jazz hands, as she announced her news excitedly.
They looked down at her hand again, remembering and gave eachother a look. There was an awkward silence, before Meredith interrupted it
Meredith - "Well this has just become a celebration." She put her hand up to call her waiter over and asked for another drink for Lexie.
They all agreed and raised their glasses to almost salute Lexie
Mark - "To my beautiful girlfriend Lexie. For not only being the gifted neurosurgeon she is, but for fighting battles everyday."
