Willows Nightmare

I wake to a high pichted scream. Willow! I look next to me and peeta is missing.

"Damn it, Peeta." I curse.He could be having a flashback and choking her brains out as he did to me back in 13. I check the clock. 2:50 AM.

Just then Peeta jumps out of the bathroom that is across from the bed. "What happend? Is someone in the house!"

"No peeta. Its Willow again...She has been having nightmares all week."

Willow screams for us, and we are in her room within 5 seconds. Peeta and I sit on opposite sides of her,"What happend baby?"

" I saw two people... She said her name was Prim and the other one Camilia."

Prim.Camilia. It sounds sounds so beautiful when Willow says there names. But they bring tears to my eyes. They both died too young. "What did they say?!"

"Katniss." Peeta says. I know what he means. I shouldn't be pressesing her to asnwer but I have to know.

"That she loves you and that grandma and grandpa are doing fine. " She starts sobbing now," Then a baby came and started scaring me. She was saying that she was first. That she needed to live not me. Mommy,what does that mean?"

Then willow starts crying hysterically. I try to calm her down by my methods dont work. Peeta cradles her in his arms. She stops almost instantly as he speaks of what sounds like a poem, I've never heard of:

I see your mosters, I see your pain.

Tell me your problems I'll chase them away.

I'll be your lighthouse, I'll make it okay.

When your monsters come I'll stand there so brave...

And we will chase them all away.

And after they are gone we will shout hooray

Because at the end, you are okay.

Now lay down, I am going to leave.

But just remeber and say...

'I bet they are scared of me!'

At the end of it tears stain my face. Peeta kisses her and says"Goodnight Pumkin," and is asleep within ten minuets. I have never heard of it but it describes everything that Peeta does. He chases our monster away. He does all of that. We quietly walk out and head back to our room. When we are back in bed I ask," Where did you learn that?"

"My dad used to say it to me when I had nightmares. But he would make sure I was quiet, because if we woke my mother she would come in and slap me, then yell at my dad. She would tell me to get over it, that I am a coward and a humiliation to the mellark family..." he looks at me." Because even back when I was six my nightmares had to do with losing you."

I smile, and lay over him, and kiss him starting at his temple amd ending at his just aboue his waist. Then I stop.

"Why did you stop?" he groans.

"Because I am already pregnant... I kiss him one more time on the center of his chest and he lets out a loud moan."But I love you and I am happy your back." I get of him and lay back on my side of the bed, facing the opposite side of Peeta.

"Why do you tease me like that Katniss?" He playfully wines, and it brings a laugh from both us,then wraps his arms around me, and says goodnight.
