*Peeta POV*

Today we go into the meadow again, but today will be the first time Rye has been here. He has finally mastered the skill of running, but oddly not walking. But I don't mind. Katniss and I sit on a old log and watch the kids play. He tries to chase willow but he isn't fast enough yet. Willow gathers flowers while singing a song and Rye sits playing in the dirt making mud cakes. My son will be a baker. The kids come and bring us gifts. Willow brings a bouquet of flowers. They are dandelions and hands them to Katniss. Rye brings me mud cakes.

"Hey katniss?" I ask.

"Yes?"

"You did good."

She places her hand on my real knee,"We did good Peeta. We did very good."

Later We all lay on the couch, although I am covered with my family. Katniss and Rye on my left, Willow on my right. Watching a cartoon movie, for the kids. I look at my watch 7:53 pm. I look down to my right and look at my left to Willow. My first born. I look at her wavy brown hair, and then into her eyes that are impossibly more blue than mine.

Then I shift my attention to my mini me, Rye. His blond hair that curls at the end like mine. Grey eyes like his mother and my kindness. He may not have my last name, but as long as he knows that I love him, that is all that matters. And when he gets older it will be his decision wether he changes it or not.

Then I look to katniss. By partner, my lover, my savior, my wife, my best friend. We have done so much for each other. I have given her the sense of security and she has given me kids, but we have given each other love.

The kids fall asleep by the end of the movie so Katniss and I put them both in their beds, and then head up stairs to bed. She lays her head on my chest wrapping her arms around me as I play with her hair.

"Peeta?" She says.

"Yes love?"my voice is deep.

"Does this remind you of anything?" She says talking about the moment.

"Yes. Yes it does." I smile.

"I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live in it forever." She says. I laugh and kiss her a light kiss near her temple. Soon after we both close our eyes and drift off into a deep peaceful sleep. But some how when I wake up, I feel my entire family surrounding me underneath the blanket.
