Several months later,
"It's a girl."
"Oh God." I let out a great sob as I hear my baby cry for the first time. Time seems to move quickly as the doctors take her away to get her cleaned and weighed. It's not long before she is placed on my bare chest. "Dwayne."
"I'm here baby." Dwayne places his hand over mine as I start thanking God for giving me a safe delivery and blessing me with a healthy baby girl.
"Thank God." I lift my hand to wipe away my tears before I run a hand down my daughter's back as she quietens down. "Hey baby girl."
"You did it." Dwayne kisses the side of my face and I turn to meet his lips in a moment of desperation. Childbirth is something else and I couldn't have gotten through it without Dwayne besides my side.
The nurses congratulate us before walking out of the room to give us a moment alone.
"I can't believe that I'm a mom now." I look down at my beautiful baby girl who is looking up at me. "Come lay besides me, you need to do your skin to skin."
Dwayne pulls his shirt off and that's when I remember that Dwayne is a large guy so I press a button, calling the nurse back in. Once the nurse enters, she carefully helps me off the bed so that Dwayne can lay down and have his skin to skin moment with our daughter.
I begin to cry again as I look at my daughter who is staring up at her father.
Never did I ever think of having children so this moment feels so surreal. As much as I have enjoyed carrying my baby, I don't know if it is something that I would be willing to go through again.
Having my daughter here is a blessing but the process leading up to it was not. There were several moments where I felt like giving up but I couldn't because my daughter was relying on me.
I expected to be in labour for a while, based off what I was told but I didn't think that I would be in labour for thirty two hours. My daughter really tried me.
TheRock: No words can really explain this moment. I know that we kept this moment hush hush but it was so worth it because the feeling that I have is inexplicable. What I can say is the amount of respect that I have for my partner @NyaCage is infinite. Nya endured 32 hours of labour and I'm so proud of her. Nya, my love for you is forever growing and thank you for our beautiful daughter.

I wish that I could have had Mya there with me during my birth but she is unfortunately locked up. When I feel good, I will send her a bunch of pictures and hopefully I will receive a phone call from her.
"How are you feeling?" Dwayne asks as he kisses my temple.
I shake my head as Dwayne helps me back onto the bed, "Sore but that's fine, I'll take it because we now have our girl."
We just had our first night at home with the baby and it went pretty smooth. We have been preparing for this moment so I anticipated the lack of sleep and constant crying. Thankfully Amerie and Joe let us practice with their twins and our daughter is pretty chill so we're good for now.
We were very indecisive when it came down to naming her.
Joe and Amerie gave their sons Samoan names while Jason and Jada gave theirs Hawaiian name. I'll be honest, I'm not the best with pronunciations so we chose something really simple because I don't have time for the Samoan and English version.
You get one name and that's it.
Tiana Gia Cage Johnson.
Tiana is very similar to Kiana but Jada assured us that she had no issue with the girls names being so similar. Jason joked that the girls are practically twins even though they are two months apart and I couldn't help but smile.
Dwayne and his friends have really made me feel like family and I appreciate them so much for that.
"She's beautiful." Jada smiles up at me as she rocks Tiana in her arms. "She has a head full of hair. Did you have bad heartburn?"
"Hell yeah I did." I kiss my teeth. "And homegirl was big baby too."
Everyone laughs at my words.
"How much did she weigh?" Jason asks as he turns Kai body so that he is facing my daughter.
"9 pounds and 4 ounces." Dwayne answers as he dabs a tissue under his eyes. I kiss the side of his face because this man has just been so amazing throughout everything and I have seen this emotional side to him that nobody ever sees.
"Wow, she really is a big baby." Jada hands Dwayne Tiana before grabbing her own daughter who looks like she is ready to cry.
Since having my daughter, my stomach has somewhat deflated and I now look like I'm six months pregnant which I am ok with. We made it to forty weeks before I went into labour and even then, Tiana wasn't trying to leave.
After ten hours of labour, the doctors had to break my water because the eviction notice was up. Even after my water broke, Tiana was not trying to come out which aggravated me because my body was in so much pain.
Dwayne didn't even know what to do. I have never seen Dwayne look so helpless before but pregnancy is no joke, it's not in our hands at all. Twenty two hours later and Tiana was finally out in the world.
It made all the pain so worth it.
I can't really complain anymore because I have a daughter now.
Jada hands Tiana over to me and I smile down at my little girl who is now sleeping.
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause girl you're amazing
