A/N: Happy Hump Day! I caught the writing bug, so there will be another chapter on Friday.

As always I love to hear what you are thinking, good, bad, and ugly. Is there something that you think should change? Is there something you want to see happen?

FYI the song has nothing to do with the chapter, just happens to be the song playing on my stereo as I am posting.

Present Day

I was sitting in the office with my father, reviewing some pack files when Markus came walking in with a phone in his hand. "Hey Mark." My father greeted him, not at all surprised that his Beta had walked into his office without knocking.

"Hi," he responded. "Sorry, to bother you, but Eddie's Beta is on the line and they are having some issues." He held out the phone to me.

I gave him a bit of a confused look, "Why didn't Eddie or Vick call me?" Markus shrugged, thrusting the phone into my hand. I looked to my father, he nodded his head to me, giving me the confirmation that I was looking for.

I glanced at the phone screen and realized that it was on hold, pressing the button to take it off hold, I placed it next to my ear, "Victor, what's going on?" I asked addressing my long-time friend.

"Hey Eli, sorry to call like this, tried your cell but it went to voicemail." So, he did try me, sounds like I forgot to charge the thing again. I am always doing that. "Things aren't the best right now, Eddie is finally getting some sleep, he asked me to give you a call." Vick was always a carefree sort of person, so when I heard the serious tone in his voice it made me sit a little straighter.

"Is Eddie alright? What is happening? " My father was now paying attention, I knew he was listening that his enhanced hearing would allow him to hear the conversation as clearly as I was.

"Rogues." Vick said, making my blood run cold. "All of a sudden we have a large pack of rogues that keep trying to attack. Eddie is alright, he is exhausted though. I do not think he has slept since the first rogue sighting three days ago. He just collapsed in the living room on the couch. I think he was sleeping before he hit the cushions. "

I was a bit confused honestly, Rogues did not usually tend to group together and attack the packs. Usually being the keyword, "How big is the pack of Rogues?"

"Over the last forty-eight hours we have killed five and captured ten as they have breeched the pack lands and attacked pack members." Victor explained. "We are lucky that our warriors have only sustained minor injuries and none of the other pack members have been hurt. Currently we have everyone in lockdown. "

"Have any of the captured Rogues talked yet?" I questioned, hoping that someone had been able to get something, anything from them that could help.

"Unfortunately, no. They all appear to be very loyal to their leader, the most that we have learned is that his name is Frankie. " Frankie, that is not a known Rogue with any issues, at least not that I was aware of and by the look on my father's face and also the look on Mark's face I could tell they hadn't heard of him either.

"Edison sent out scouting parties and they found that there was a large campsite, with at least forty more, to our west. There were a few smaller campsites circle around the pack lands, that had ten to twenty more per site. " He let out a sigh, "From the intel that we have I am assuming that there are at least a hundred, give or take."

I glanced at my father, what I was going to say next was stepping outside the bounds of authority a bit considering I was yet to be made Alpha, but I knew my father would not mind. He would be the first to offer Eddie any help he needed, "How many warriors do you need? I will gather them and leave within four hours."
