We had the warriors assembled and ready to go. All of us piled into the airport, one pack bus and five additional SUVs had been needed in order to get us and all our luggage to there on time. Quietly and respectfully each pack member checked in before heading to Airport Security, as Emma and I took our place in line ahead of everyone else I could see the frightened looks of the human guards as they eyed all of us standing in line.
It is extremely difficult to fly under the radar in the human world, even if they do not know what it is exactly, they know that something is different about us. Members of the were community are just naturally stronger, taller, and more intimidating by stance and personality. But the parts that weren't seen were the parts of complete and utter loyalty, the pack oath that each of my Warriors had taken to not only protect their pack, but also humans. They did not know that we were just big puppies, not that any of the males would ever admit that, well maybe to our mates, because otherwise it was too damaging to our egos.
"What are you traveling for today?" The guard asked me if I handed him my ID and boarding pass.
"Family visit." I responded while diligently removing everything from my pockets into the provided container.
"And you miss?" He turned to Emma, grossly checking her out.
"My wife is traveling with me." I emphasized wife, letting a bit of my Alpha power out so he knew to stop ogling what wasn't his.
I always loved the reaction of humans when they felt my power, not that I wielded it all the time, but in instances like this I had no issue with it, the guard instantly pulled himself together snapping his eyes back to me, forgetting about Emma before quickly ushering us through and giving us our belongings. "Sorry about that. You are good to go. "
As we sat in the terminal, I could sense that my Warriors and their wolves were becoming a bit antsy. The animalistic side to all of us not appreciating being locked inside an object hurdling through the air, we preferred to be in nature where we could run and feel the bristling wind on our faces.
It is in situations like this I should be the calmest one, projecting to my pack to ease their worries, but I was more worked up than they were. My wolf slightly more on edge ever since that dream like encounter with Lee. My wolf kept pressing for me to search for her, to go to her and I would if I had any idea where she was. The scouts still out searching for her had no new news to relay, as they were still hitting dead ends. This was not enough to sate my Wolf's need to find her and was becoming increasingly agitated as the hours ticked by.
Emma grabbed my hand, sparks erupting from her touch, "Calm down, Love. You both need to sooth your worry for a bit. Everything will be found out as it should, as the Goddess decides it to be." Her words calmed me a bit, even easing my wolf both of us knowing that she was right.
My anxiety lessened as I listened to the soothing words of my mate, again proving to be too good for me. Her actions of calming me had an immediate and calming impact for the wolves we travelled with, making it possible for us to board the flight.
"You are amazing." I smiled at her, as we now sat on the plane. "I do not know how I would live without you. I love you, mate."
Emma smugly responded, "I know." And with a quick kiss sat back in her seat closing her eyes.
