Even though I was running on fumes, I still did not manage to sleep much the night before. I had this uneasy feeling and was not quite sure what it was. Pulling myself from bed, so I did not wake my sleeping mate with my constant tossing and turning I went to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee.

I grabbed myself a cup of coffee, preferring it black and bitter, which reminded me of Lee. Her and I always drank our coffee the same way. With her on my mind, yet again, I decided there was no time like the present to review some of the reports the scouts had sent in. Opening my laptop, I pulled up one of the reports and started reading.

By the third report there were no real updates, all of them siting, "No new information.", "Target not at X location.", "No activity found on known banking and / or credit card accounts." As I let out a groan of frustration, I felt Emma's hands wrap around my waist and her chin rest on my shoulder. Just her presences helped calm me a bit.

She reached out and closed the laptop, "You need to stop torturing yourself with this Abel. You know as well as I do that Lee would not want this. "

"I know, but she left because of me." The guilt still ate away at me.

"No, Abel. Lee left of her own choosing. " Callen said walking into the kitchen.

Emma stepped away from me shrugging, "I'm going to make breakfast." This being her way of ducking out of the conversation that she knows Callen and I had been avoiding.

"You know I blamed you for a long time, Abel." Callen confessed, not that I did not already know this, it was finally nice to hear him admit it to me. "I needed someone to blame, someone that could handle my anger." He hung his head in shame a bit, "I am sorry, you are family, friend, and my Alpha. I never should have taken it out on you. "

Callen I am not angry about it, had it been anyone other than you and your father, I would not have let it stand, but you are family. But Lee would not have left if I had approached things differently, I was just angry and scared. Do you know how much it hurts your pride as an Alpha to be scared of something? "

He chuckled a bit at my admission, "I get it, my wolf barks at me when I feel that way and I am only Beta." He smiled a bit, "Seriously Abel, you need to stop blaming yourself, she would have left even without that fight. Lee has been broken for a long time. It just happened to be that you couldn't 'fix' it for her this time." I could see the sadness in Callen's eyes as he thought about Lyanna. "You know I haven't seen her smile, truly smile, in years. I think it was before Mom passed. Deep down I hoped that this walkabout she went on would help her heal."

"Yeah, Moon Valley really crushed her. One day we will get her back, she will come home; I am not giving up. You know I know that it was her that called out to me, that dream was real when I collapsed the other day. Something is going on, that was her pain. I know I was feeling her pain; she needs me, she needs us." I explained, getting a bit taken up by the thought of the dream as I spoke. "Did I tell you that I thought I smelt her scent here last night in the pack house?"

"Really?" Callen perked up, "We should go check it out, find out if it really was her!"

Emma brought out plates of eggs, sausage, and toast for each of us. "I don't think that it was her, Callen. The scent was so faint and there were too many others on top of it to really know for certain."
