A / N: Seems like Loving Obsidian is not quite as popular as My Mate, My Luna. I will say that it is a little heartbreaking :( Either way I am going to finish it. Maybe the story will find it foothold later.

Lyanna

My apartment was now in shambles, I had torn the place apart looking for them. I knew I had them somewhere and I needed to find them quickly, before Obsidian broke down my barrier, forcing herself into control. Right now, I did not want her help, I did not want to feel, I wanted to be numb and uninhibited. Those were two things I was never allowed to feel when Sid and I were together. I needed just one night where I could get away from reality.

I stood in the middle of the mayhem I had created, talking out loud to myself, "Where did I last remember having them?" Searching the deepest depths of my memory I walked through the final movements of the last time I had seen it. "Ah ha!" I yelled, as if I was having a 'Dear Watson' moment, I charged to my closet.

Pulling open the closet door, I pulled out my bags, this would not be a long search now, I knew it was in one of these pockets. These were the only bags that I had, the ones that carefully loaded my life into when I decided to leave, something I would be doing shortly. I was too close to him, my second chance, a second chance I never thought I would have, the one I did not want. If I stayed too much longer, I risked Him finding me, but for tonight, tonight I needed to forget.

Reaching into the last pocket of my large cargo bag, my hand hit the smooth surface of a plastic bag, I yanked it out, "YES!" I waved it around in the air like I had just won the jackpot at the local Bingo Hall. Jumping up I ran to the kitchen, pouring the contents of the baggie on the counter and recounted what each one was as I put it together. "Small blue pill, Silver. Green capsule, Silver Falls. Medium Purple pill, Wolfsbane. " I sang to myself as I decided on what to take, "One of you, purple pills. Two of you, Silver pills and one of you, my little green friend. Stick the rest in my pocket for later. "

The closer I came to completing my goal of taking these pills, which was part of my leftover 'medications' well minus the Silver Falls, I added that later on just for kicks, Obsidian started fighting me harder, she was close to breaking through the barrier I had erected.

"Lee please stop!" She begged, it almost made Sid sound weak as she begged, giving me a momentary pause.

"Sorry, Sid. I hope you will forgive me later. " And without a second thought I downed the pills.

It did not take long for the pills to start working, as I felt the familiar burning sensation as my stomach acid burned through the outer casings of the pills releasing their contents and the pleas of Obsidian growing softer. I welcomed the discomfort because I knew soon enough that it would be numbing the parts of me that I did not want to feel, but the nagging part in the back of my mind let me know I was going to pay for my numbness later. Grabbing my jacket, I headed out the door, Howlers sounds like a good place to go.

Howlers was packed tonight, but I had expected that, it was always packed. Walking in I went to the bar, "Hey, you are here!" Malory said. "You working tonight?"

"I can fill in for a bit if you want, but it's party night, so expect things to get wild." I warned her.

Malory just nodded her head, "Fine by me, you know the rules keep the girls happy and the guys liquored."

"Don't say I did not warn you, Mal." I winked and gave her a devilish smirk as I got to work.

And then I heard her mother under her breath, "I think I'm going to regret this."
