When Cisco said that, we crossed the portal again to go to the lab and there was a live video showing Jay and my mother tied behind him.
- I'm disappointed Flash! I really thought you cared more about your dear Caitlin Snow.
"Don't hurt her!" I exclaimed, but he just laughed.
- Blame your dear father, if he had shown up as I demanded, she would be saved.
"I showed up ... it's not my fault you weren't there!" Said Barry, getting a little upset by the situation.
- Oh what a dear ... After all you did appeared ... Just in the wrong place ... .- Jay said smiling, turning to Caitlin.- Maybe there is really salvation for you, Caity! Flash you have 2 more hours to meet us.
- Wrong place? - Felicity asked without realizing anything. - But he said to meet you at your parents' old house.
"Yes, I don't understand why I was wrong either!" I exclaimed, thinking of a possibility.
- Perhaps the place itself was not wrong, but the... .- began Cisco.
- Time! - added my father, realizing the idea of Cisco.- The place itself was not wrong, the time was... It was not my house that we should have gone to, but my house that is in the second dimension ... It was there that I relived the death of my parents not long ago, when we went to save Harry's daughter.
- We have to go back to the second dimension, - said Cisco, preparing things to go.
"So what are we waiting for?" Asked Felicity, getting up.
- Felicity, you and Harry will stay here in case anything is needed. I also told Joe to be on the lookout if we need his help with anything.
We crossed the portal again but this time we ended up in the second dimension. The plan was exactly the same, my father and Uncle Oliver distracted Jay while Uncle Ralf and I went to save my mother. Let's say the theory was easier than the practice, because it never crossed our minds that Jay had help.
Guarding the door to the room my mom was locked in was a cheap version of Eddie, my dad's old colleague who sacrificed his life to save Central City from the Reverse Flash. With some effort, Ralf finally managed to use his elasticity to put Eddie to sleep, while I moved on to save my mom.
I opened the door and found my mother asleep on a bed, with handcuffs attached to the legs of the bed so that she could not escape. We went into the room and went to free her but she wouldn't wake up, as she should have been given a strong sedative, which suppressed her powers from Killer Frost.
I knelt beside her and carefully started to shake her to see if she woke up. In the first few seconds there was no response from her, but then her eyes opened and she was surprised to see me there.
"Mom" I said, dropping a tear, but this time it was a happy one.
- Don't cry my baby, I'm fine now.
- I was so afraid of losing you.
- But you didn't lose me ... Where's your father?
- He's down there distracting Jay so Uncle Ralf and I could come and let you go.
- We have to hurry up. Let me take your mother, you go help your father as planned.- said Ralf.
Due to doubts, we ended up locking Eddie in the room, with the cuffs that previously had my mother's wrists and we went down the stairs carefully so Jay wouldn't hear us. Right now we were after Jay but with some security and my mom was after Ralf so she couldn't be hurt in the process.
- I'm here now, so you can let her go.- My dad said to Jay but he just started laughing.
"Did you think it was going to be that easy Barry?" Asked Jay and I lined up my hands to activate my ice powers.
But something went wrong because Jay guessed what we were doing and suddenly I was no longer behind him but he was behind me, with his arm around my neck.
"Jay, leave him alone," said my father.
- Do you think I'm stupid enough to believe that you only brought your little friend? I must admit that the plan was good, but the execution was a little weak... I thought you were going to be smarter...
- Jay! Don't hurt the kid, "said my dad again, but Jay didn't plan on leaving me.
- Oh Flash! I don't intend to make the same mistake twice ... This time, your beautiful son will die.
"Leave my son alone," Caitlin said angrily, stepping out from behind Ralf and quickly activated Killer Frost mode. "You don't have the courage to face me anymore, do you? It looks like you saw a ghost ..."
- But the serum ... It was supposed to give for another 24 hours.- Jay said a little scared, although he had powers, the incredible reputation that Killer Frost had, made everyone a little scared.
- OH! Poor baby... You don't look that powerful anymore! - said KF- I said not to hurt the kid and you still didn't listen to me... And you really thought I was going to let you hurt Caity?
Killer Frost fired a few times at Jay, but he narrowly managed to escape, until the last time it hit him in the leg. Ralf injected the drip that made him fall asleep and Killer Frost fired until he covered his lower body after changing back to Caitlin.
It was time to leave, so Cisco took the tip and opened the portal that took us back to STAR Labs. Felicity, seeing my mother in Ralf's arms, was preparing the infirmary so that we could take care of my mother. But when crossing the portal, my mother ended up passing out in Ralf's arms, which made us very worried.
"What happened?" Asked Felicity, as soon as Ralf put my mother on the bed.
- When crossing the portal, she simply passed out.- Ralf replied.
- Her signs are great, it looks like she is just tired ... She was weak due to the serum that was injected and the fact that she used her powers, made her body use even more energy. We will let her rest for a few hours and when she wakes up, she will be like new.- said Cisco and they all left the infirmary, leaving me alone with her.
My father still tried to get me to go home with Cisco so I could rest, but I wasn't thinking about leaving that room, much less leaving her alone. With some persuasion, there he convinced me to leave, leaving him to keep her company.
On the way home to Uncle Cisco, I couldn't think of what my mother had been through and I am much more relieved to know that she is not in that ward alone. I know that the fear I felt is not at all rational, as it is what is supposed to happen, but at that moment the side of reason did not matter, only the sentimental side reigned.
I already lost my mother once, I couldn't bear to lose her again! I ended up taking my father's advice and called my sister to tell her the news. At bedtime, it was impossible to turn off my brain so I ended up just sleeping for two or three hours, before having to "wake up" to go to STAR Labs.
