POV DAWN:

I have always heard that you never really know how much you love a person, until you lose them and that phrase has never made more sense than it is doing right now.

It had only been a week since my mother's death and I was already longing for her, for her hugs, for her advice or even simply for her presence. My brother and my father were no better than me.

For the first two days my dad didn't even want to get out of bed and when he finally did, he was just thinking of how to get Jay and make him pay for the crime he committed. It was then that my brother's brilliant idea of traveling back in time a few hours to get out of this house came up, before Jay showed up, but of course I already knew it was going to be confusing and I wasn't mistaken.

It is that in addition to having gone back years, he was caught by our family. The last time we spoke I was so worried, because it was the day that Jay kidnapped our mother, but both me and my brother, deep down, we knew that that was going to happen and that it would go well, but even so it doesn't prohibit us to be frightened by the thought of losing our mother, again.

But it was then that the best thing that could have happened, happened. I got home from classes and I came across my two parents arriving from work. I was so surprised to see her there happy and alive that in the first few seconds I didn't even have a reaction.

- You did it bro, - I commented before running into the arms of my mother, who was not understanding what she had given me today.

With my brother's return to our time, the family was finally complete again. I can say with all certainty that he was as surprised as I was, to see her here as if nothing had happened.

At dinner time, neither of us could stop looking at Caitlin and was getting a little creppy. But we couldn't help but be happy to see that a trip that seemed to be a disaster, ended up working.

- Enough! Can you tell me what's wrong with you two? - asked our mother. - You spent the whole dinner glazed over me and not in the good sense.

- We really missed you, mom.- said my brother smiling.

As of today, we could breathe in peace and continue with our day-to-day lives as if her death had never happened. After dinner, while we were washing and cleaning the dishes, our parents went for a walk.

I was curious to know what our parents' life was like in the past and how much time my brother spent with them, so as soon as we finished our tasks, I went into his room and told him I would not leave without he tell me everything.

He told me everything, from the first meeting with our parents to the various discussions with Aunt Iris. I didn't even want to believe what I heard about Aunt Iris, thank goodness that she gained judgment.

HENRY POV:

After telling all about my trip to the past to my sister, I was finally able to rest. In the morning I woke up with the alarm clock and after doing my daily hygiene routine, I went downstairs and went to have breakfast.

- Well family, I love you but I really have to leave the house or I will be late for my first class.- said Dawn going to the fridge, took a yogurt and left the house.

- So what about you? Are you going to stay at the CCPD all day?

- Yes, I got the full time schedule today, but next week I am off so I can go help the lab.

We stayed a little longer to talk about ordinary stuff and after fixing my dishes, I went to my room to get my things and was leaving the house when my mother asked to talk to me quickly.

- I just wanted to thank you for what you did for me.

- You know you took a huge risk by jumping back in time. It could have been very serious! - exclaimed my father.

- I know that, when I decided to jump, I knew the risks I was taking, but I had to do it. We couldn't and didn't want to live without you, mom.

- You were very brave, my love. But I don't want you to risk your life like that again. If something happened to you ...

- I would do the same thousand times if necessary.

"How did I get to have such a beautiful son?" Asked my mother, hugging me again.

- In the same way that Dawn and I managed to have the best parents in the world.

- Let's go otherwise we will all be late. - said my father and we left the house.

What I told my mother was the complete truth, if it were necessary to travel to the past again to save her, I would not think twice. I arrived at the CCPD and went to my office, passing first the secretary of my best friend Amy.

- Good morning, Mr. Allen. I have a fresh coffee here for you.

- Thank you Ames, honestly what would become of me without you?

- Your life would be miserable!

- Allen, Richards and Allen, I sent you directions to the new crime scene, - said our captain.

I went to my lab and got the kit and joined Amy and her partner to go to the crime scene. When we got there, we saw lots of broken glass, the cash register completely empty, but luckily there were no deaths, just two minor injuries.

While the detectives were questioning the witnesses, I got to work and started to collect some evidence, like pieces of glass, footprints next to the cash register and fingerprints.

After collecting everything, I went back together with the detectives to the CCPD and started to analyze the evidence I had collected. Almost half an hour later, Amy and her partner came to me waiting for the news, but unfortunately there weren't many.

- Well to start I managed to collect fingerprints on the glass of the counter but unfortunately they were partial, that is, they are not enough for a correspondence. The footprints that were on the edge of the cash register belong to sneakers, number 43.

- It's not much, but it's already something, - said Amy's partner.

"Is there more news?" Asked Amy this time.

- Yes, I found sand residues at the foot of the main counter and found traces of a flower called Gladiolus.

After documenting the results of the evidence I collected at the store, I went to my boss's office to deliver a copy and put the other on Amy's desk. Lunchtime had arrived and although I had agreed to go to lunch with Amy, I don't know if she would be able to, since there was not much evidence in the case where she was working.

"Shall we have lunch?" Asked Amy.

- I thought you wanted to stick around.

- No way ... I'm not going to eat sandwiches that are sold at vending machines, we go to the nearest cafe and buy some slices of pizza and then come back here.

And that's exactly what we did, we went to the nearest cafe and ordered six slices of pizza, that is three for each of us, we also ordered two small bags of chips and two drinks. After we had our order and paid, we went back to the CCPD and went to lunch at my office, because we were more comfortable there and there was more space.
