In the morning we woke up with the alarm clock and after getting dressed, we went to the kitchen where our three dear children were already up and having breakfast. I poured myself a cup of coffee and ate three toasts with strawberry jam and after eating, I put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
Today was Ronnie's first day of kindergarten. The deal was that I was going to take the boy and then Barry was going to pick him up, because there was no need for us to go together. Barry took advantage of the fact that I was going to take him and arranged to meet with Iris to talk for a while before she had to be in the newspaper, since the two of them don't spend much time anymore.
"Behave yourself and do whatever the teachers and staff say, okay?" I asked, adjusting his coat as soon as we got to the kindergarten door.
- Promise.- he replied smiling and after giving me a hug, he entered the kindergarten.
As I still had some time before I had to go to STAR Labs I decided to stop by the cemetery to see how Ronnie's grave was doing and so I took advantage and was with him a little longer. I parked the car and before entering the cemetery, I went to the florist and bought a bunch of flowers.
- Good morning my love, how are you? You know, yesterday I was at Cisco's and saw a framed photo of us. It was the one we took when Dr. Wells opened the champagne and before the disaster that was the explosion of the Particle Accelerator. For a moment I imagined you by my side, smiling and drinking some juice in a plastic cup ... I'm not sure how the system works up there, nor do I know if you can see our day-to-day life , but I have a new son! It's not quite mine, man, but I love him as if he was! He's a two-year-old boy .... You know, he reminds me of you! I'm not sure how to explain why, but I know it does. So when I had to make a decision about his official name, I chose Ron ... as a way of paying tribute to the man I loved.
While talking to him, I took the bouquet of flowers from his grave and put down what I bought at the florist that is at the entrance to the cemetery.
- Sorry I can't spend more time here with you, but I really have to go to STAR Labs, but I promise I will visit you very soon!
After saying goodbye to him, I left the cemetery getting in my car and heading for STAR Labs. When I got there, Barry was already there, along with Cisco and Harry.
- I was here to tell your husband that today we don't need to go out for lunch, because I brought some of the food that was left over from yesterday.- announced Cisco smiling.
- You did well, so you don't accumulate food in your house to spoil. Harry, do you know anything about Ron's family yet?
- Not yet, but it's only been a few days. However if you want my opinion, I don't think anyone will come. If he really had another family, I think someone would report his disappearance and at the moment there is no report of his disappearance.
- Let's wait some more time.
Today in the lab was one of those calm days and the time for us to leave quickly came. As agreed, Barry would pick up Ronnie from kindergarten, I would take advantage and go to the supermarket to buy some things we needed for our home.
I was glad to see that there weren't that many people in the supermarket, and that meant that it wouldn't be long here and that I was going to get home quickly to be with my family.
With the purchases done and already in the car, I drove home and when I got there, Henry and Dawn came to help me take the bags inside and pack what I brought in the appropriate places. As none of us were in the mood today to cook dinner, I heated up the pizzas I bought this afternoon and opened a bag of chips.
