A month and a half later ...

It's been almost two months since the day that crazy killer tried to kill my parents and my uncle Cisco. The process of Ronnie's permanent adoption is almost completely handled, we just need to fill out some paperwork and he will finally belong to our family.

Today I woke up, as usual, after the alarm went off and after doing my daily routine to go to the CCPD. I arrived at the CCPD and went straight to my office, since Amy was off today, which made me a little sad because I wasn't going to see her today.

I was just writing a report that started yesterday when I heard a knock at the door and when I looked up, I saw it was Joe. He asked me to get my lab kit because I was going with him to a murder scene.

Ten minutes after leaving CCPD, we had arrived at the house yesterday, the crime would have occurred, but at first glance, everything seemed to indicate that it would be a suicide and not a homicide, however I would have to search the entire house and collect some evidence to analyze.

The house was not very big, however it took me almost two hours to go through the whole house, but in the end I already had enough evidence to take it to my laboratory. I closed the kit and waited for Joe to finish interrogating, so we can get back to the CCPD. I already know what they're thinking ... But why is he waiting for Joe if he can go to CCPD using his incredible speed? The answer is very simple ... There are a lot of people around here and I couldn't use my power without showing it.

When we went back to CCPD, I put on my CSI gown and went into the lab and started doing some analysis on the evidence I had collected in the house where a person was dead.

"I came to see results, do you have anything for me?" Asked Joe when he reached my edge.

- Traces of powder were found on the left hand. I took lots of footprints from the different rooms of the house and they are all from the maid, the daughter of the man and the man himself.

- In other words, everything points to suicide?

- The evidence proves that. I have not yet found forensic evidence that indicates otherwise, but I am still waiting for the results of toxiology, but only after lunch will we know the result.

As it was already time for lunch and the results I was waiting for still took time, I asked a girl who was going to take the lunch shift to have a look and if the result comes before I reach the CCPD, to put it in my secretary.

Although I wasn't going to see Amy at CCPD, we agreed to go to lunch together. We agreed to go to a cafe that was on the edge of the CCPD, which had a terrace service and as soon as I arrived, we went to sit at one of the tables outside that were free.

When the coffee employee came to us, we ordered two chicken salads and two ice teas, one peach and one mango, and almost fifteen minutes later she came to bring our orders. At the end of lunch, we ordered two coffees and after drinking them, we went to pay for what we ate and left the cafe.

As I still had almost forty minutes before I had to go back to the CCPD, we ended up sitting on one of the garden benches and we were just talking about everything and nothing at the same time. Being like this with her was so pleasant and always made me so happy!

"Are you going home?" I asked her, after getting up from the garden bench where we were sitting.

- No, I think I'm going to do some shopping in the shopping area, because apparently a new store opened there and only then should I go home. But don't worry, I will text you all the time.

- Good thing, seriously, the CCPD without you is not the same thing.

I went to the CCPD and when I passed my office I saw that I had no reports, so I went to the laboratory and as soon as I got there, the machine started to beep. After taking a look at these results, it was proven that the case was really suicidal, so I made two more copies and went to look for Joe to give him the news.

After going to talk to him and handing the report over to our captain, I went back to my office to finish filling out some paperwork, when I heard someone saying that a store robbery was taking place in the shopping area. Then I remembered that Amy was going to be in that area and I started to think that she might be in danger, so I tried to call her cell phone.

I called the cell phone a few times but always went to voice mail. Some detectives were ready to go to the robbery site and as much as I asked what was going on, no one was giving me answers so I did the first thing that came to mind, which was to call my mom.

When she answered, I explained the situation and asked her to access the surveillance cameras to see what was going on in that area. She hung up and told me that when there was something new that I would call back ... Almost five minutes later my phone started ringing and for seconds I thought it was Amy, but when I picked up the phone I saw that it was my mother.

- Honey, it seems that Amy is one of the hostages inside the store. We have an image of her entering the store but we do not have her leaving.

- I have to go there quickly.

- You don't do anything until your dad and I get there, do you hear?

I hung up quickly and left using my super speed to get there faster. A few seconds later my mother, father and uncle Ralph arrived at my side.

"What's the news?" Asked my father.

- We are waiting for the negotiator to arrive. We know that in addition to Amy, there are five other people inside, two of them are children.

I may seem a little calm, given the situation in front of us, but inside I'm freaking out. Just the thought that she might be hurt inside makes me want to go in there and go get her myself, but I know I can't do that.

- Take it easy Henry, - said my father in my ear. - I know how you feel but you have to let them do their job.

- I know dad, but if something happens to her ...

- Nothing will happen. You have to think positive.

- They are taking forever, I would go there and finish them off in seconds.- said my mother, letting Killer Frost take a little control of the body, but not enough for her to transform herself.

A minute later the negotiator of hostages arrived and began to make communications with the assailant and in a period of ten minutes he managed to free the two children.
