Dinner was spent as it always is, between conversations and laughter, only this time we were listening to stories about Edna's childhood. The way she met her husband was so adorable and it was clear from the way she talked about him that they were extremely happy.

- Dinner is great, honey, - said Edna, smiling.

- I'm glad you're enjoying it.

- Dessert will be even better, - said Dawn, smiling. - My mom makes a wonderful red fruit cheesecake.

After the main course, Dawn went to help me get dessert and dishes. At the end of the dinner, Barry, Edna and Ronnie went to the living room to spend some more time in each other's company and me, Dawn and Henry stayed in the kitchen, washing and drying dishes.

It was exactly ten thirty when Edna said goodbye to Ronnie and our children, because on the one hand Ronnie had to go to sleep, because tomorrow he had to wake up early and on the other hand, Edna had to be in the nursing home until eleven at night.

Dawn promised me that she would help Ronnie put on his pajamas, brush his teeth and lay him down, and then Henry would stay with him until he fell asleep. Barry called Cisco to ask him to go to STAR Labs and open the portal, as we had agreed.

As Cisco did not live far from the laboratory, when we arrived there he was already and in the company of Harry, who had made a point of being present at that moment.

"Before we go through the portal, can I tell you something?" Asked Edna, smiling.

- Of course yes! We still have time. - Barry said looking at the clock on the wall.

- I want to thank you for being so wonderfully caring for my grandson and I was very happy to see that he is happy in your home and within your family.

- We are also very happy to have him in our house.

- That's why I wanted to make a request to you. I want you to permanently adopt my grandson.

- Are you sure?

- Of course I do! Since he entered the house and joined us in your living room, I realized that he adores you and would certainly be very disappointed to have to go to another family. And honestly, I believe 100% that you are the ideal family to help him ...

- Edna, we would love to be able to adopt Spencer, but we have to talk to your son. And if he wants to keep the boy, we can't keep him!

- I know, but I also know that he doesn't want to keep his nephew's guard. He never wanted anything to do with our family and he won't be wanting it now.

- The only thing we can promise you right now is that we will do everything possible for your grandson to stay in our family, - said Barry smiling.

- Thank you very much, you don't even know how it makes me more rested and happy.

It was time to enter the portal and return Edna to her "home". The three of us entered the nursing home and after filling out the necessary papers, we said goodbye to Edna but left the promise that we would come here again to visit her.

Cisco opened a portal again for us to return home and after we were already in the lab of STAR Labs, we all left the lab, each going to our home. When we arrived at our house, everyone was already asleep, so we tried to make as little noise as possible so as not to wake anyone and went to our room.

The next morning we woke up with the alarm clock and after doing the morning routine, we left the house, being that I was going towards the kindergarten and Barry, towards STAR Labs. I left Spencer in kindergarten and went to STAR Labs, where everyone else had arrived but me.

Today was going to be another day with strong emotions and it was today that Ronnie / Spencer's fate was decided. As soon as I entered the control room, Harry informed me that he had already met Ronnie's uncle and that he was, no more and no less than here in Central City.

We were ready to leave STAR Labs when we were stopped by Joe who looked like he was running here.

- Barry warned me of what happened last night with the kid's grandmother and told me that his uncle was here and that you are going to talk to him this morning. I went to talk to my friend George and explained the situation to him and he told me that if his uncle really doesn't want to be with the kid, he would have to sign a legal paper, which would even say so. Only in this way was it possible to proceed with the child's legal and definitive adoption.

- Good! From what his grandmother told us, the uncle will not want to have anything to do with his grandson.- said Harry.

- I brought the paper with me and if he signs it, I still give it to my friend today and soon the adoption process can be continued.

- Good! So come on, we can't waste any time.- Barry said and we went to Joe's car.

We all wanted to go talk to Ronnie's uncle, but unfortunately the car could not support more than five people, including the driver who was Joe, so we ended up going with just me, Barry, Ralf and Joe. We went to the address Harry had told us about and saw that it was a hotel.

At the reception, we asked the employee to call the room where the man was staying and tell him to come to the hotel bar. Five minutes later, he appeared and sat in the chair that was free at our table.

- I was told that you wanted to talk to me.

- Yes, we have a serious matter to talk to you about. It's about your sister!

- What did she do now?

- Sorry to inform you like this, but your sister passed away last week.

He seemed genuinely shaken by the news, but in the next few seconds it was as if that feeling was gone and indifference reigned.

- It's a tragedy, but I have nothing to do with my family.

- Yeah, but you'll have to listen to us. As you know, your sister had a son, Spencer, two years old and at the moment he is without a permanent home.

- And what do I have to do with him?

- A lot, you're the only family he has left. He's been staying with us these days ...

- You can stop right there. I don't want or never wanted to have anything to do with my family, so for me, you can stay with him forever.

- Great, that's what we wanted to hear, - said Joe, getting irritated by the man's attitude. - Here is a legal statement for you to sign, which says that you are not interested in taking care of your nephew!

The man didn't even think twice, took the paper from Joe's hands and took a pen from his shirt pocket and filled out what was asked for on the sheet and after signing it, handed it back to Joe.
