Fortunately today had been much calmer than the day before and it gave my mother a little more rest. When my father returned from the CCPD he told us that he was going to be home for three weeks and after an exchange of looks between me and my mother, she ended up inviting him to stay there.
After leaving STAR Labs, we went to the supermarket because my mother's cabinets were empty, then dinner came and finally we ended up visiting Aunt Jenna, who is the daughter of Aunt Cecile and Uncle Joe.
I got tired of playing with her, while my parents talked to the adults and two hours later we left, because the next day we had to go to STAR Labs.
In the morning, I did my daily routine and when I got to the kitchen my father was taking care of our breakfast while my mother was going to change clothes and when she returned to the kitchen, we all ate together and then left the house. We arrived at STAR Labs and found a very happy Cisco and his smile increased when he saw me.
- I have spectacular news to tell you.
- What's up, Cisco?- asked my father.
- I think I found a way for Henry to come home. I spent the whole night dealing with a device that helps to increase speed thus creating temporal portals. I haven't tried it on anyone yet, but you should be able to get it back to your time line.
"Really?" Asked my mother in a very sad tone of voice.
- Yes, I've been working on this for a while and I think it's operational.
- That's fantastic Uncle Cisco. Can we try it out?
- Whenever you want, kid... I put the device on a bracelet that also contains an intercom, so you can contact us as soon as you get home to find out if it worked or not.- explained Cisco giving me the bracelet.
On the one hand I was happy to be able to return to my home and be with my complete family, but on the other hand I am a little sad that I have not completed my mission. I ended up staying here to help overthrow Jay and unfortunately that hasn't happened yet, although at the moment he was in a cell here at STAR Labs.
"What's going on, Henry?" Asked my mother, noticing my thoughtful face.
- I am very happy and excited to be able to return home, I really am, but my mission was to defeat Jay and I don't know if I feel comfortable leaving him just locked in a cell.
- I understand your doubt, but trust me when I tell you that he will not harm your mother in the future, so you can go home rested. Although I don't think it's safe to try the device that your uncle built.
"Why?" Asked Cisco.
- It hasn't even been tested yet and you want the first test subject to be my son!
- I trust Uncle Cisco's inventions.
- Someone who trusts my inventions 100%! - exclaimed Cisco.
- It seems that the time has come then.- said my father, coming closer to me.
- Before I leave, do you think I can ask you one more thing?
"Whatever you want, love," said my mother.
- Do you think I can say goodbye to the rest of the team?
- Of course yes! The others will also want to say goodbye to you, I'm sure of that.
Almost half an hour later the rest of the team arrived and knew that I wanted to say that it was time for the farewells. I know that I will see them every day in the future, but it was still hard to say goodbye to these amazing people.
- I want to thank you once again for helping me. I don't know what I would do without your help.
"It was a pleasure, kid," said Uncle Harry.
- Yes, we really like having you around.- said uncle Ralf.
"Some more than others!" Exclaimed Iris.
Although she carved herself with my mother for the horrible things I told her, I knew she still felt some anger at having me here, but I always tried not to give too much importance to it and today would be no different.
"Iris!" Exclaimed my father.
- Let it be, Dad. Aunt Iris, I know that now it may seem that I came here to ruin things between you and my father, but in the future I know that you really like me and Dawn.
- You haven't even left yet and I miss you already, - said my mother, smiling.
- Me too, but I know that I will see you in a few minutes and that rests me. I want you to know that I couldn't ask for better parents and I want you to know too, that Dawn and I love you with all of our hearts.
- We love you too.
- One more thing, do you think that before I leave, can I hug you? - I asked my mother who just smiled and opened her arms.
- Hey, see you on the other side, kid. - said my mother when I left.
As Uncle Cisco had explained to me, I started running around the room until I reached the green dot that appeared on the bracelet and behind me there was a blue light that gave way to a portal. I looked at my parents once and went through it.
I left the portal and quickly recognized where I was. I ran to the house and saw my sister sitting at the entrance to the house, who was happy to see me.
- So it worked? Did we manage to save the mother? - I asked anxiously but she didn't answer me.
- Why don't you see it with your own eyes?
That said, I entered the house and in the living room I came across my two parents sitting on the couch watching television. I couldn't take my enthusiasm any longer and I threw myself at my mother, hugging her.
"Is everything okay?" Asked my mother, unaware of my reaction.
- Yes, I just missed you.- I replied sitting next to her.
- But you still saw me this morning. Have you been taking drugs?
- No, I just felt like hugging you, it's not a problem, is it ?!
- Of course not, my rich son. Now if you don't mind, help your sister set the table so we can heat up the pizzas later.
I had my mother back and nothing could make me happier than that. When I saw that I was alone with my sister, I ended up telling her a more summarized version of the time I spent in the past.
