Warnings; swearing, angst, and fluff

Word Count; 1.4k

Notes; READER IS RAVENCLAW

"(Y/n)?" Luna murmurs, twirling a strand of blonde hair around her finger.

"Hmm?" you hum, not bothering to raise your head to look at her. You need to finish this paper, or McGonagall will have your head. She's warned you twice now, and you don't want to find out what happens on the third warning.

"He's staring again."

You pause, lifting the quil from the paper so you don't leave a huge ink splotch. It's funny how you just thought that you couldn't stop, and not even a second later...

"Now?" you ask, looking at her.

Hannah leans over, making it obvious that you're talking about Draco now, but you could really care less. The more she makes it clear that you all know, the more he'll probably learn what shame is, and that staring is rude on all occasions. Especially when you're doing it five times a day.

"Yeah." Hannah says, "you could--"

You turn your body, eyes narrowed as you glare back at the boy. It takes Draco a moment to notice that you've caught him once again, and he looks away. Drops his hand back onto his lap as he goes back to writing in his journal.

"Oh, that's it--" you go to stand, but a firm hand on your shoulder pushes you back down.

It's Hermione, "Not yet." she says, taking a seat next to you.

"Not yet?" you ask, "It's been a whole week of this nonsense, 'mione. I'm tired of it!"

"Imagine how we feel." Hannah says, picking up her quil, "It's annoying me."

"I have to talk to him."

Hermione looks over, "(Y/n)--"

"It's weird!" you defend, "All the time--in potions, and transfigurations and herbology and charms and every single meal--it's freaking me out."

You finish the paper, letting it dry as you package up your ink.

"Maybe something messing with his head." Luna's voice is soft as usual, and she looks up towards the roof, thinking.

"Could be an embarrassing thing." Hannah suggests next.

"Like a bullying tactic." you look at Hannah and she shrugs, "Right?"

"Wait until we can tell Ron and Harry."

You place the ink, and then the quil into the bookbag. Then, you turn your full attention to Hermione. At first, she doesn't notice that you're literally facing her, until the silence is overwhelming.

When she looks over, her face twists.

Now that you have her attention, "I told you we should have told them days ago. But no, you want to wait and assess the situation. I've assessed it enough and that--" you point to Draco, expecting for him to be looking away, but he's got his eyes trained on you again, "Oh, for Merlin's sake--!"
