CHAPTER 12

Another day passed and another set of exams came, after her last class, she went to the cafeteria to stay longer. She wanted to see Yosh’s state of mind now. Since she had no paper or books with her, she just scrolled over her social media account on the phone and looked over messages on her Instagram.

Since she has an ample of time, she read all the messages and replied to some who’s most likely serious. And there she saw Klenton and Krensom’s messages.

“Is this your real IG acc?”

She replied “Yes” to Krensom’s message and attached a picture of her now and then replied again "Proof".

“We should hang out more, babe.”

It was Klenton’s message.

“I’ll see” she replied to his message.

It has been months since she didn’t updated her IG account so she made a simple selfie and posted in into her account.

“Hi, Ms. Red!”

Napalingon siya sakaniyang bandang kanan at nakita si Markin na papalapit na sakaniya.

“Oh, hi” bati rin niya.

“Pwede po bang makiupo?” magalang na pagtatanong nito at tumango naman siya kaya hinila nito ang upuan kasalungat niya at umupo ron. She put down her phone on her table.

“How’s exam, by the way?” pagtatanong niya.

“Okay lang naman po. I think I did well.”

Tumango siya, “You’re not with Light and Warren?”

“Nauna silang umalis dahil magce-celebrate daw. At nandito po ako dahil may hihintayin. Nakakain na po ba kayo? I want to treat you as pay back with the last time.”

She shook her head humbly, “No, I’m fine. I’ve been here for quite while, and I have eaten a while ago.”

“Okay po. Kayo po, kumusta po kayo?”

"I'm doing good."

Nag-usap lang sila ni Markin hanggang sa dumating na ang hinihintay nitong kapatid na babae at nagpaalam na para umalis.

Naiwan siyang naghihintay ron hanggang sa umabot ng dalawang oras at gumagabi na ay hindi pa niya nakitang pumasok sa cafeteria si Yosh. Nang mag alas singko na ay sinabihan sila na magsasara na ang cafeteria kaya napabuntong hininga siya at naglakad palabas.

Nilibot niya ang kaniyang mga mata sa paligid baka sakaling makita si Yosh ngunit wala. She took a lollipop from her clutch and unwrap it. She put the wrap back to her clutch before closing it and sucked the head of the lollipop. She started walking to the hall, feeling a bit uneasy.

It feels like her body is heavy that her foot cannot carry.

Did she… expect too much?

In her whole life, this is the first time that she had waited for someone in 2 hours and nothing came.

Well, it is most likely that she won’t see him there since she didn’t tell him that she will be waiting. But still, it is a bit saddening that she had actually waited for nothing.

Napatigil siya nang may makitang pamilyar na mukha na nakaupo sa isang bench at hawak nito ang kaniyang smartphone at may pinanonood.

Hindi niya pinahalata ang kaniyang presensya, lumapit rito at nakitingin sa pinanonood nito. There she was caught and the man directly locked his phone and stood up as she heard ‘yawa’.

“Hi,” she waved her hand to him.

Lumayo kaagad ito ng dalawang sentimetro.

“H-Hello?”

Natawa siya sa mukha nito dahil mukhang nagulat talaga ito sakaniya. There was worry in his expression, and that made her grin. He is interesting.

“You’re watching porn?” she teased.

"Unsa? Dili- I mean NO” he directly hesitated and put his phone to his bomber jacket.

Medyo napatanga siya rom dahil sa ginamit nitong linggwahe sa una na hindi niya naintindihan pero hindi na muna niya pinansin iyon.

“Really? I saw a naked man and woman-

“I wasn’t watching, I was observing.”

Hindi siya nagsalita at tinitigan ito. It seems like he is telling the truth because he is so serious.

“Did you hack a system again?” pagtatanong niya nang maalala na ito pala ang hacker ng kanilang grupo.

“Y-Yeah?”

She hummed and looked at him from head to toe. He is a pretty simple guy, with a curly hair, brown eyes and a good shape lips. He looks a bit Spanish but his color is brown. He is wearing a bomber jacket that made her a bit surprised because the last times she saw him, he is alo wearing jacket.

“Aren’t you hot? You’re wearing a jacket all the time.”

Napakamot ito sa ulo, “Naanad ko. Muhawa na diay ko kay," nanlaki ang mga mata nito dahil naalalang si Lavion pala ang kausap niya, "I- I mean, I should get going. Good bye.”

Naiwan siyang nakatanga ron. She hadn’t even got the chance to ask him she wanted to date him and he is gone!

Natawa siya at nailing. That was the first time that she got lost in the first move. That guy is unique and it seems like he is multilingual.

Nagpatuloy nalang siya sa paglalakad at lumabas na sa ekwelahan at nagbabakasakaling makita si Yosh.

As she walked outide the school premises, there she saw Yosh being cornered by three boys. Base on their outfit, it seems like they're street gangster, with those tattoos and piercing on.

Nakunot ang kaniyang noo at dahan dahang lumapit rito.

“30,000 sa pananakit mo sa boss namin,” the man with an army cut demanded after pushing Yosh to the school's fence.

“That’s cheap” agad niyang singit kaya napalingon naman kaagad ang mga ito sakaniya.

“Sino tong babaeng ‘to?” pagtatanong naman nong kay piercing sa ilong na mukhang mayabang. Tiningnan pa siya mula ulo hanggang paa at tinitigan ang kaniyang dibdib.

Lalapit na sana sakaniya ang tatlo ngunit nagsalita si Yosh.
“Ibibigay ko ang 30,000 bukas na bukas-

Napakuyom si Lavion.
“1 Million.”

Gulat namang napalingon ang mga ito sakaniya.

She loosened her hands and beamed, “One million for each one of you if you leave your boss, how’s that sound?”

Tumawa naman ang mga ito.

“Pinaglalaruan mo ba kami, miss? Saan mo naman makukuha ang tatlong million para saamin?”

Lumapit ang mga ito sakaniya pero bago pa niya masinghot ang baho nang sigarilyo nito ay agad niyang sinikmuraan ang nangunguna, tinuhudan ang isa, at sinipa sa ari ang isa, bago hawakan ang kamay ni Yosh at hinila ito para tumakbo.

“T-Teka lang po, saan po-
“Shut up, baby boy. We will just run for a bit.”

And they run with her high heels at nong makita niyang sinusundan sila ng mga lalaking iyon ay mabilis niyang hinubad ang kaniyang heels at itinapon sa lalaking aabotan na sana sila.

“That's 50,000 by the way!” sigaw niya bago muling hawakan ang kamay ni Yosh at tumatawang tumakbo.

Don na rin bumuhos ang ulan kaya binilisan nila ang kanilang pagtakbo hanggang sa nakarating sila sa backdoor ng Fi hotel. She only hushed to the guard for a sign at tumango naman ito.

So then, she dragged Yosh up to her hotel room.
