Steve Rogers X Reader

Steve stood there as she walked away, a blood red lipstick mark left on his cheek. Tony landed next to him.

"Nice work Cap, we're supposed to be catching her" he huffed at the Captian.

"Sorry I- I don't know what happened. It was like I was under some sort of spell" He explained as he came to his sense. She was long gone by then.

"Yeah, well that's not in her skill set. This is all you Cap"

"I'll go tell Furry she got away again" he sighed at Tony, who had already taken off back to the tower.

"Hey Steve get in here" Bucky yelled from the living room where he and the others were crowded round the TV.

"What? What is it?" Steve asked as he rushed into the room. Bucky pointed at the TV.

"We're now brining you footage from the fight" the presenter said.

It flicked to a clip of Steve. He fought her off as best he could with his shield. At last he managed to grab her hands, she was stuck. With a smirk on her face she lent up and placed a kiss on Caps cheek. Her blood red lipstick leaving a mark. His grip loosened and he stood frozen as she whispered something to him before walking away. The clip ended and the TV presenter was quick to make commentary.

"Could it be possible that there's something Captian America isn't telling us? Is he working with the criminal we call Red? More on this after the break" with that the TV flicked onto ads.

Steve let out a fustrated sigh, everyone in the room was waiting for him to say something. He didn't. He ran a fustrated hand through his hair and left the room.

The next few weeks were spent trying to track 'Red' with all the leads turning out to be dead ends and trying to keep the media at bay as they sunk their claws into the idea of Steve dating a criminal.

"What about her lipstick?" Steve asked turning to Tony. "Could you get her DNA of it?"

"It could work, but we don't have any. Unless you kept some from your little makeout session" Tony teased.

"She kissed me and it was only on the cheek. I thought maybe it could come in useful" Steve protested as he presented Tony with a tissue coated in red lipstick. Tony snickered but took it from him anyway, taking a moment to examine it.

"I don't know that we'll get much more than a brand name from this, but it's worth a try" with that he got to work analysing the tissue.

A few hours later the results came in, as expected nothing but a brand name. MAC and the shade.

"Okay" Steve began in his Captian voice "Bucky go find out how many uses someone can get from one lipstick then use that to calculate how much money someone would have to spend on lipstick a year to wear it everyday. Use that to calculate her income range, it'll be a rough estimate but it'll do. Bruce search for the potential area that she could live in based of off her arrival time at the places we've fought. Tony once he's done that search the databases for anyone wearing that lipstick" he instructed. Bucky had already left to go start his task and Bruce had gotten to work.

"You're not seriously suggesting that she wears the same lipstick that gave her her name, everyday?" Tony scoffed at Steve.

"Oh I'm betting on it"
